My guess would be strong Mars and/or Pluto (aspecting the luminaries), Aries placements, 1st and 10th House placements, stelliums involving Mars, heavily aspected Mercury.IP: Logged |

i have conjunct stellium of sun/mars/pluto/mercury/uranus all in the 10th house. I am extremely assertive and often more 'manly' in nature than i'd like. very dominant personality although since it's all happening in libra I come across as feminine because of how I look/dress. but once people get to know me they feel 'tricked' - like the outward feminine look was hiding that really 'male' personality. I find it hard to keep female friends and even harder to keep relationships going because I dominate the men completely and just cannot be 'soft'IP: Logged |

IS, lol. I have it. And I have Sun, Merc, and Venus in Aries. And all of those sextile Mars. I might as well have been born with a gun in my hand. IP: Logged |

Probably Mars conjunct moon would be another. That's like an Aries or Scorpio moon. Perhaps, moon conjunct Pluto which gives a similar flavor. Moon conjunct Uranus, remember, this planet is exalted in Scorpio and could have a relationship of some kind with Aries, the other Mars ruled sign.Moon conjunct Jupiter. IP: Logged |

^^^Sun in Leo for sure, or in Aries or Scorpio. Perhaps Capricorn. Leo/Capricorn like to be in charge...Gemini often likes to boss. Sagittarius can be too easy going. Look for prominent luminaries and planets in angular houses or conjunct Asc or MC especially in Leo, Aries, or Capricorn. Maybe Cancer, even.

I know two of them. First one has sun, venus, mars, neptune, uranus conjunction in capricorn square her aries moon and cancer ascendant, sextile pluto. I wonder what will happen when pluto in capricorn will conjunct that stellium. Second one is a Pisces sun(surprise!!surprise!!) with Scorpio moon conjuncting her pluto. She has nearly an exact mars square pluto, moon square mars and mercury conjunct mars. IP: Logged |

Stelliums might also be an indication of an alpha who likes to run the show. I forgot about those even though I have one.IP: Logged |

This female alpha likes to have a match worthy of her in terms of mental and emotional strength but once this has been established, and once I know the guy meets me half way, I won't mind loosening my hold on the 'who is in charge?' bar.In actuality it's a great turn on when a guy can show me he can dominate me.But more so because I know I can 100% count on him for being strong and resistant to whatever life throws our way. It's super important to me that I can count on him to come through during hard times. I've noticed however my female friends I know of (those who really have a dominant personality) don't ever compromise. They want to fully dominate. They don't want their husbands to take the lead, but they whine about them when the poor hubbies prefer to let them rule.IP: Logged |

That's interesting because I've known very submissive men & women who enjoy being dominated who almost invariably one day snap after having been dominated and/or walked over (as they wanted to be) and leave. I wonder what it is about the strong dominant/submissive mindset that encourages this? Maybe "switching " is an important skill to learn... IP: Logged |

I think of Alpha female more as bossing the other girls around, Jessica, not necessarily guys but yeah, I guess they could be in charge of them too

It's usually more complicated than that. The alphas (whatever you want to call them) have a lot of power over guys because they command a lot of social influence and plenty of guys see them as a trophy or even an asset, and she can easily replace him and at some level he knows it. OTOH, her rep suffers if he's "not a man" (meaning masculine in school, and as an adult means someone who achieves power which typically means appropriately aggressive rather than easygoing) so he looks like he's in charge (may even think he is until she puts the metaphoric--occasionally even literal--smack down on him). Ideally they're partners, but social dynamics encourages her to use cues and hints (which he's typically oblivious to) and when he doesn't figure out what he's supposed to be doing then she gets sick of it and drama results with him wondering why she's all psycho acting and she wondering why he's such a clueless, selfish jerk. Of course there are women who take a much more assertive, demanding role and guys who are masters at manipulation without overtly ordering others about, I sometimes find them amusing, or at least morbidly fascinating, to watch. I tend to be a bystander in these social charades myself but they are morbidly delightful to watch. There's sociologists, then there's everyone else.IP: Logged |

I've a do or kill, break but not bend attitude. As long as im interested in something, there's no stopping me. However, Its easy for me to get disoriented and i might change my mind if i get sentimental. I'm the same in relationships. when i was younge r, i pursued men actively. Now, i dont really care. But i anyday prefer men with power. That damn leo descendant. I prefer to hang out with assertive females. I've a tough time with the rest. So i stay away from them. Stellium in sagittarius - sun, mercury , venus and mars Sun conjunct mars in 11h of groups, friends. Mars square moon Pluto, mercury, venus in 10h(scorpio) Moon in 8th sextile pluto, trine uranus Chart ruler in capricorn, singleton aqua saturn in 1st. IP: Logged |

I am a professional sports photographer, own a big gun, have my own tools, can operate heavy equipment, and ride a street bike (the crotch rocket kind). I usually end up in a leadership role with men and women, whether I want to or not. All of these things are very alpha-type activities for a woman.I've been told I'm a ball buster (excuse the expression), and my determination knows no bounds. I'm not intimidated by anything and I'm very brave (to the point that I confronted my stalker and backed him down after police intervention didn't work). I've had many men tell me that I scare the hell out of them. But if a man is strong enough to get past my tough facade, I'm happy to let him take the lead as long as he doesn't try to "rescue" me. I'm a Pisces sun, cancer rising, Capricorn moon. I have Jupiter conjunct asc, Scorpio mars, Aries Venus conjunct BML and MC. I also have Pluto in Virgo in the 3rd house. My Pluto opposes my sun and semi squares my Mars, so I think that also plays a part in my strength as well. My grown son recently told me I'm the toughest, strongest person he's ever met. I love being strong and capable, but it gets lonely sometimes. IP: Logged |

Moon/Mars, Sun/Mars, Sun/Pluto, Mars, Pluto or Saturn prominent. Actually, Uranus aspects Sun/Moon/Mars in a lot of the charts of super independent women, but they are not always "alphas" if Uranus isn't paired with Pluto or Mars in strength. Otherwise this is a person who doesn't care much to lead and just wants to live their own life according to their own law. Lots of fixed signs, particularly Scorpio. Aries and Scorpio are very Martian, very direct and into relinquishing control or at least being the head of whatever project. Capricorn also, to a slightly lesser degree. I wouldn't necessarily say a masculine sun sign because I know plenty of them who are more laid back, and I know female water signs who are extremely combative and love to lead.IP: Logged |

Very true about Uranus with Pluto or Mars.I have Mars square Sun,Moon,Mercury, and Venus.Chart ruler Saturn and Uranus opposite those planets. And Mars trine Pluto. But no Mars/Uranus or Pluto/Uranus.I definitely don't consider myself alpha. But it's always been difficult for me to make female friends. And as I get older I see alot more cattiness from females.Which I hate cause I do want to just live my life without any interference from anyone. I agree with this statement..
I consider my self an alpha female Sun,moon, merc, and mars in Leo. Career wise I am a mgr.. I like being in charge in that area. But I don't want to be "in charge" of people.. I would never be in a relationship with a "yes dear" type if guy... At the same time, I wouldn't be a yes dear type of women.. I would want total equals. IP: Logged |

mars, pluto, jupiter and uranus in tight conjunction in my 10th. Plus I'm a scorpio sun. I'm definitely assertive when need be. IP: Logged |
