Hi there, I have this aspect in my natal chart and I always find myself falling for men that live far away. For some crazy reason, long distance actually kind of appeals to me. Am I just a masochist? I've yet to actually be in a long distance relationship but am considering one now. Am I actually more suited to this kind of relationship than most? My feelings are pretty constant and don't fluctuate, but that might be because my Venus is in Scorpio. What are your experiences with the square and semi square? IP: Logged |

My ex had Venus opposite Uranus and we were in a LDR. It didn't appeal to me, though.Anyway, to answer your question, yes. But a semisquare is not a major aspect, so something else might be responsible for it - Uranus or Jupiter in aspect with the 7th house ruler or in the 7th house, for example. IP: Logged |

I've venus in sag semi-square capricorn uranus and i'm drawn to neither long distance nor internet relationships. I stay away from both. My feelings fluctuate a lot though and i'm never sure whether i'm in love with the partner or in love with love.IP: Logged |

Semisquare is quite significant though. However, one aspect between Venus and Uranus alone doesn`t make for a liking for ldr. IP: Logged |

I find the DESC-ruler involved in dynamic aspects or better aspects pattern with Uranus a more reliable indicator of this happening than Venus herself (unless she is part of the 7th house pattern). But even then it is one possible expression or manifestation, but not the only one. Sometimes it can manifest as having relationships with people very different from you. Different races. Different religions. different social circles or ages. Sometimes just very different in personality. IP: Logged |

I have both DSC ruler in aspect with Uranus (trine), and venus in H7 square uranus loosely at 8 degrees ( does it count?)Am atm involved (getting in deeper) with someone from a different nationality, different background etc. A closer look of his chart,I noticed the same aspects, his DSC ruler and his venus in aspect with Uranus. I don´t count 8 degree aspects as strong. But you already have a Desc-Uranus-connection so it might add to that one. Also, very important there is a natal resonance between the two of you. Does that Uranus theme comes up in synastry or composite as well? IP: Logged |

Why would it be bad?WEll, i know some peeps do not like Uranus. I love him! (in small portions at least). Greatest times of my life are usually when Tr Uranus is in dynamic aspect to my natal Venus. And when I first fell in lvoe or infatuation, really love at first sight or sound, magnetic, exciting, delicious, my Uranus was opposite his Venus, which was conjunct my 5th house cusp. I like having my world turned on its head now and then. Where is the composite oyu posted? I did not find it.

Venus sq Uranus (cancer/Scorpio) is what I have and I am very out of sight out of mind...I also have a huge pstellium in 12H Virgo so I can basically have relationships through txts. Suits me just fine!IP: Logged |

Here's my Natal chart: http://s1306.photobucket.com/user/twitterbird05/media/ScreenShot2013- 05-19at111939AM_zpse2da3866.png.html Uranus and Neptune are in my 7th house. Uranus is semi-square my Venus conjunct Pluto in my 5th house. I'm thinking that my 7th house Uranus could be a huge part of it. IP: Logged |

Sun, venus, mars, mercury in same sign. sun, ruler of 7th, in the 11h. Mars, ruler of men in general, in 11h Moon trine uranus Venus semi-square uranus and trine desc. Mars semi-sextile uranus Juno square uranus Neptune conjunct uranus Aqua rising Singleton saturn in aqua And i'm not into aquarian relationships. I will never get into a ldr. I don't meet men online cause i hate chatting. It's too boring. Men older than 6(max!) don't appeal to me. Younger men are kids so again no. I only attract unstable men with a very prominent uranus. I don't see my relationships in anyway unconventional. Is there anything else that is uranus ruled? IP: Logged |

I see a conflict in your chart (nothing bad in conflicts per se, and actually I come across that often; on the one hand Uranus-patterns, and simultaneously Pluto or even Saturn). The Uranus pattern predominantly is because of: - URanus in 7th house of course and this is interconnected (by semisquare) with - Venus as ruler of 5th house in Scorpio conjunct Pluto exactly
and for the Saturn-pattern, we have a Sun-Saturn-conjunction on DESC. Sometimes when there are seemingly contradicting patterns the individual "meets" one of those patterns through external influences.
With the Sun-Saturn on DESC, there is a need for very committed, stable, serious relationships. With Pluto/Scorpio in relation to 5th house, love is needed to be intense, passionate and also very committed (Pluto/SCorpio/8th house is about principles, too). But then there is also Uranus in 7th house - a need for a bit of freedom and independence in relationships. It doesn`t mean that you don`t want close relationships or intimacy, just that people need to stay indidividuals, even if in a relationship. No losing oneself in a relationship. However, with Pluto/Scorpio, there is also a need or instinctive draw to very intense, sometimes consuming relationships. A love that consumes you. (though of course Uranus sais: A love that consumes me? I don`t think so. Loving is fine, but I am staying myself, no consumption needed. No thank you.) Actually a long distance relationship is ideal for solving that dilemma. You can have the merging, and intense attachment on an emotional level, but at the same time the geographical distance makes sure that you can still be yourself, do what you want WHEN you want to, do not have to make too many compromises in your daily life.
BTW it can also work in day-to-day relationships. My parents both have natally strong Uranus, Pluto and Saturn patterns as well. My Dad is an Aquarius, my Mom a Scorpio, too. They made it work superbly. They are as closely connected as I ever seen two people, but still maintain their own personality, which is quite different actually. But complementing.
Of course there is something different about them too. Not only do they have a son with the Down syndrome - my middle brother-, but they took my aunt in shortly after my birth and my aunt has been growing up with me in their household (she is only 8 years older than me).

Thank you Ceridwen! That information is very helpful. It really describes how I feel about relationships. Hopefully I find a relationship that can work this way.
