I know there's a general list on cafeastrology but I'm wonder, besides tightness of aspect, what else there is. I'm assuming chart rulers, no? IP: Logged |

Generally: tight aspects; aspects with personal planets, angles and angle rulers; Saturn aspects and NN aspects. Then the outer planets (unless they're tightly aspected by personal points). But tight aspects are the strongest imo.

I think one of the main things to consider is how important each planet is within each individual's chart. The more important the planet is in your chart, the more important it will be in the synastry. The more important a planet is within his chart, the more important it will be in a synastry. So if you're very Neptunian, you can use a slightly larger orb for aspects to YOUR Neptune within the synastry (but still no more that 5 degree max). If he has a very prominent Saturn, you can increase the orb for aspects to HIS Saturn. On the other hand, if you've got a weak, Mars and he's got a weak Mercury, those contacts won't be as important even with a pretty tight orb. Synastry really must begin with each individual!IP: Logged |
