Inspired by a previous thread: So if aspects to the Sun in a woman's chart indicate the type of men that she attracts, what in a man's chart would indicate the type of women that he's likely to attract to himself? I'm thinking it's probably the moon? Guys, would you check in on this please?IP: Logged |

Well, im a girl...but i would definitely think it would be the moon since its the sun/moon energy that is the yin and yang energy in the chart.Ive never thought about aspects to my sun showing the kind of guys i like...hmmm my sun has merc attached...under a degree...combust Yes,i like quiet intense people who arent overly chatty...because communication is part of their ego and being frivolous with giving out that energy is draining and frustrating to them. They are intense because they only want to talk when there is important things to speak about! Sun/Merc are conjunct Neptune, i love guys who think deeply about spiritual things! Sun trined Saturn exact...i need a mature, stable, responsible and hard working guy! Sun trined Lilith exact...i like a independent, rules are made to be broken, a lil bit hardcore and rebellious guy. Sun/saturn/liilth make a grand trine, so the rebellion has to be excuted in a responsible way...saturn sets limits on how you rebel. LOL Sun sextile AC, they need to care about how they are seen. The planets have their meanings for everyone, irrespective gender, meaning Venus has ALWAYS something to say about relating. However there is a theory that states, that part of our partner pattern is this:
For a woman: Sun: the mature Man, the man as husband or father Mars: the man as lover, more sexual For a man: Moon: the maternal woman, the woman as wife Venus: the woman as lover, more erotically And of course this has to be combined with DESC and 5th house
Also pay attention to the signplacement as well as the tight aspects. For my Dad it certainly was true: He has Moon in Taurus in 8th house squaring Sun: My Mum has a Scorpio-Sun in 5th house; Earthy Moon and Venus
For me, Sun conjunct Mercury in Sagittarius is a vital ingredient for a man I could be seriously interested in; but as Mercury rules my DESC, this could also be the reason for this.

Ceri Generally speaking, I've noticed that men *do* attract women that somehow fit their Lunar archetype (especially if we're talking about something deeper than just sexual attraction). However, Venus needs to be touched, also.. otherwise the guy will probably feel like something's missing - the woman won't correspond to his feminine ideal, his sexual / romantic nature won't be as active if his Venus is not aspected by the woman's planets or if the woman doesn't correspond to his Venus archetype at all. Of course there are other things that can mitigate that (5th, 7th, 8th houses in synastry for example), but generally speaking, that's how it works. I've noticed that I attract (or am attracted by) guys who have their Moon in the 8th (or a Moon/Pluto aspect) - there's a resonance here with my Scorpio Sun and Moon square Pluto. Oh and, as for my Sun/Mars archetype, it's pretty much the same - they're both in Scorpio and square Saturn - I usally attract guys with Mars/Saturn aspects or Sun/Saturn aspects. It's even better if they have some Pluto action going on.

Doux Reve, However I want to mention, that just because men are attracted by their Moon sign or women to their Sun sign, these signs and configurations are still part of their personality, too.
For example: I may be attracted to men with Jupiter-mercury, or Sag energy, as my Sun is in Sagittarius conjunct Mercury. But STILL I exhibit these traits myself. Of course in my case it might also be reasoned that this happens even more to be a part of my own personality, as Sun and Mercury are in my 1st house. however, I think we do not "lose" the planets of the other gender and only experience them through projection. i'm in agreement w/this in terms of how things work between the sexes for attraction/interest. and a lot does have to do with placement; my bf has his moon in the 12th, and I know that I don't fit that moon ideal for him, but I do for his venus sign - if a planet isn't well-placed in the natal chart the individual might rely upon one more than the other, which is what I have found with him. for myself, I find the venus plays a large role for me, and the mars as well, since they really do show what I want from a man

^ What house, YTA? Any close aspects?I've dismissed this theory in the past, but I can sort of see it in my husband's chart - his Moon's Saggie, but closely conj Neptune, sextile Pluto, and in the 8th (I'm a Pisces Sun w/a Scorp Asc). He's also seriously dated a Scorp w/a Pisces Moon and I think an Aries w/a Pisces Moon (can't remember off the top of my head). His Venus and Mars are conj in Aries but in the 12th. Something to think about, anyway. --- Adding: I have a 5th House Pisces Sun and 10th House Leo Mars, and I've never liked Leo-heavy men BUT I have a 3rd House Aqua Moon and a Venus an Taurus in the 7th and have dated (or been married to): * A Gemini Sun (1st "real" boyfriend). * A Taurus w/ a Pisces Moon * An Aquarius w/ a Taurus Moon * A 2nd House Gem Sun w/ an 8h Saggie Moon and Taurus Asc. ...I wonder what it says about me that I seek out the "feminine" in my chart... ------------------ If I've included this sig, it's because I'm posting from a mobile device. Please excuse all outrageous typos and confusing auto-corrects.
