The Nodal Axis is a karmic highway in your natal chart. There are two points (not planets) at either end. The South Node represents your past life. The North Node represents what you need to do in this life to deal with South Node issues and evolve. Sometimes there is a flag in your chart that points to a specific, unresolved past life issue. This is a planet that squares the North and South Nodes (in other words, it forms a square aspect to the Nodal Axis). The planet describes a skipped step, or a pressing issue from your past life.
When you meet someone with one or more planets that conjuncts your skipped step, they trigger the issue. There is a strong past life connection between the two of you, because that person was part of your unresolved issue. When you meet them in this life, as a romantic partner, the pull can be extremely strong. But the feelings that arise can be complex and frustrating for both parties. Read on for some examples and tips on how both partners can deal with this situation.

Looking further into this, I am fishy skipped step. (maybe..lol) He has Neptune squaring his nodes.
His missed step is Neptune, which is funny since hes a Pisces... His SN in Pisces.
Guess he has to try it again... Im thinking this has to do with spiritual themes with him, since he's not spiritual AT ALL! According to the article, if some one has a planet conjunct the skipped planet, then that person is to someone help with that missed step...
Im not sure if I would even count..
My MC is conjunct his Neptune, it doesn't say about angles so I'm not sure..
But my Saturn is opposite his Neptune. My 18Gem Saturn squares his 17 Virgo NN/SN.. Im not sure how to read that and put it all together. How can Saturn help Neptune?? Doesnt seem accurate. Although we do have heavy Neptune aspects with each other and in the composite...
Maybe thats where the Neptune "shows" I have read SN to Saturn contacts can be an unbreakable tie..
Im not sure if a square is including in that though, since it includes difficulty.
SO if anyone has met their "skipped Step" please share any stories, insight.
Did that person help you evolve from that "skipped step planet"

Yes, I have read this article many times.. Thank you.. We have the opposition in karmic houses, both in each others h10.
We have planets in each others h12.. He has Saturn and Venus Rx,

I have read both articles as well. I have a saturn/neptune trine DW in synastry with soulmate. He has natal sun square NN, and I have natal jupiter square NN. Interestingly our saturn and neptunes also aspect many of our personal planets as well. His saturn is Rx and my neptune is Rx. None of his planets activate my Jupiter/NN square but my Ceres conjuncts his natal sun and my MC conjuncts his progressed sun tight so I activate his Sun/NN square (karmic skipped step) I guess. With the karmic neptune/saturn, I definitely felt the trine!! The intensity scared me to death and I bolted so I was the runner. However, true to what I've read, since being apart for the last year, I have been miserable and it wouldn't surprise me is he was too. I know we have major karma to work out. We even have a grand trine kite in our progressed composite along with a composite Yod. The intensity and fear of how deep this connection is, is almost too much to handle, but at the same time I feel absolutely compelled to be with him and settle this karma. Astro now has an option to show SN, there is also an option to draw lines to nodes..If you check both of these it's easier to see if you have any planets squaring your nodes. IP: Logged |

Hmmm, very interesting! I have NN scorpio@22....nothing squaring it in my natal but after investigating I found all my kids have something special right there at leo@22!
One has Kaali & Giza, another has Atlantis & MC, the other has his NN...all exact or no more than 2 degrees from leo@22! Funny how mt son has his NN leo@22/SN aqua@22 exact square to NN/SN!
His Essens is aqua@22, on his SN. Deepest bond/love I've ever known and he had his Vertex leo@22/Anti vertex aqua@22! My daughter who has IC/MC angel aqua@22/leo@22 and Atlantis leo@22 also has Essens leo@24 Essens were the people who potentially wrote the Qumran. Looking at the Sabian symbol for leo@22...

Nodal Axis' for me have been ...lets just say very surprising, to the core. The feelings you have with Nodes being envolved are certainly out of your control. It really is Karmic. They bring up all sorts of soul changning feelings you do not expect. my nodes are very interesting(to say the least) as I have NN in 6th which means SN in 12th! on top of that my NN exactly squares my Moon( under one minute). further more, my moon is opposite my neptune, which is also square my NN. i think the one time i really felt this in synastry was with this: -nodes opposite each others
-this persons nn square my moon & neptune

Thanks! Yep my NN (Libra 4th) squares my jupiter which means it also squares my SN. I also have NN square ASC so it squares my SN as well. I don't know if you take angles into consideration to the NN in natal or synastry though. If you do, then soulmate's NN trines my ASC. Don't know if you count the trines though. Not sure if you can feel it, like you would the conjunctions, oppositions and squares. With that said since I have natal NN square my ASC, I guess his NN trine my ASC would activate my skipped step???!!.... I dunno. His vertex also conjuncts my ASC and both his moon and mercury oppose my ASC. IP: Logged |

I think I did and everything that the article describes is how I feel.
We pressed each other's buttons from the first sight, we were drown like two magnets but still we 're not together. I know what's going on in me, but I think he doesn't.His Saturn and Pluto square my Nodal Axis
My Vertex squares his Nodal Axis I don't know what's gonna happen, but I really hope we solve everything in this lifetime, I can't control it for the first time! IP: Logged |

So, my skipped step would be my Scorp-Moon square the Nodes.
It could relate somehow to the fact that I can't or never will have kids myself (lost uterus etc. at age 31). Ever since there's a huge attraction to guys I literally could have delivered myself. And my 'prayer' seems to be heard (look out for whatever you wish lol).. as I have one now. I guess somehow it does satisfy my motherly needs but also in a way the skipped years in which I should have enjoyed the unconstrained & tender green of youth, but didn't (a bit more complex).
His Leo-Jupiter is on my South node, my own Mars on NN and his Pluto on my skipped step the Moon. An age-difference like ours is in fact pretty much taboo in outer worlds eyes but on the other hand to the credit of my Aqua-Mars/NN. I told my sister he's 32 (which already 8 years younger than me/ "Isn't that a bit too young for you??" she replied) and so I'm preparing myself for the big laugh/shock when she's actually going to meet him.Since one whole generation would have Pluto on my skipped step, there must be something more personal to find regarding it. So let us remember "compatibility key 3" from Ceri's thread "Resonances in natal, synastry and composite". Composite planets conjunct Natal planets. His Venus/Neptune conjunction is exactly on the Composite Moon. The one and only point which would create this is the exact degree of my Moon which trine his Moon and sextile his Venus/Neptune. And so the strongest variant of key 3 as supported by aspects. My Moon in the pic would be the balancing point in his favour but also in mine as I can provide (he lets me) the Moon qualities in relation to his Venus/Neptune-Moon. Oh yes. I met this guy whose SN conjuncts my DC and NN conjuncts my ASC. We have strong Pluto connections and it has been a hell of a journey. It is like we can't give up on each other and move away but we can't stay together either. Ceridwin was very insightful and gave a great explanation to explain his behavior.(He seems like a commitment-phobe who goes away and keeps coming back. She said that it is my life path to fulfill the NN and Vertex potential, but the trouble is he does not stay in my life long enough for me to make any progress with him. any sign of things getting serious and he turns and runs. Not a good relationship, just a hellish journey and a very unhappy decade for me since I met him. I would have been happy not knowing about him or knowing him, period. IP: Logged |

My nodal axis only makes two aspects...squares to Mercury and Pluto. I'd say that they're both pretty "active" planets for me (especially since Mercury is my chart ruler and Pluto sextiles my Ascendant)...but in sort of a behind the scenes sort of way. I don't usually seem to realize the influence of either until long after the fact.Also, am I weird for actually feeling way more at home with my Aquarius NN (5th) than I am with my Leo SN (11th)? I find Leo-y energy very difficult to deal with, but Aquarius comes pretty naturally to me...Both signs are intercepted in my chart, but I do have Mars in Aquarius...hmm. ------------------

For the person in red..
This person skipped step is the moon, so I'm thinking,
Emotions feelings... Etc..
The person in blue doesn't have any planets conjunct the skipped step.. I do see the IC, but not sure if you count that or not...The person in blue doesn't have any planets in the skipped step spot, so it's less telling,
However the red person (can't orbs) has Saturn square the blues nodes...
So maybe there is a Saturn issue.??? I have the same, Saturn/nn me being Saturn...
I'm not sure how to read that...
Just maybe very karmic...
It says all over the net Saturn is a teacher to the nodes, but idk if I agree with that...
I don't feel nor want to be his teacher...
He's a grown man!!!,

The person in blue is me, the red is him. But it feels like I am the one learning the lesson of being hurt. He seems to repeat the same pattern again and again. So Saturn is teaching me to be..... disappointed, hurt and be unhappy for the longest time...., is that so? Sorry, am confused now. The pattern does not fit correctly.IP: Logged |

Ok your blue, check the orbs does his Saturn square your nodes? If so how tight... The sn is the past/ nn is the future, it makes sense what your feeling...
Only Saturn doesn't teach you to be depressed, Saturn is a reality check..
Since its stuck between your nodes, then it's a struggle from the past to the future....
Looks like his moon is squaring his own nodes, so maybe he has to deal with emotions/feelings in his life. I'm just guessing here... Not saying anything is a fact.

I understand Saturn is about reality checks, but what am I supposed to learn? Dump him and don't let him back into my life? I am careful not to hurt his feelings, but he runs when things turn to emotions or expressing(even admitting to himself, I guess) what/if he feels anything for me. The bad part is I can't seem to do a bloodless slice and exorcise him. And why does he keep coming back if he feels nothing for me?IP: Logged |

I can't really say what it is, I can only guess here,But taking your nodes into consideration Your nn in h11 in aqua your sn in Leo in h5 So I would guess moving towards aqua/h11 themes. His Saturn and the nn square is in your h2..
So I would take that into consideration too..

Oh yeah my ex AC-DC-IC-MC along with the ruler of his 7th activate my mercury opposite moon which square my nodes and mercury rules my 7th!! His vertex on his IC is on my Southnode. So he activated everything, my skipped steps and my nodes... It was the most intense relationship of my life, My name squared his nodes exact, conjuncted his ixion and opposed his chiron so I was his skipped step and he was mine.. Did I evolve?? Did I evolve in connection to my skipped step planets?? Did my skipped step get cleared?......tomorrow will let you know. IP: Logged |
