I want to get something special for my best friend . The thing is.. she does not care for material things. Fashion or accessories/beauty.
She has a kindle, and I don't gifting books either, I find very underwhelming to receive a random book as a gift.

The problem both of us aren't that sentimental either.

I have an idea but I want to get an idea of the aqua/scorps like.
She has Virgo Asc and Venus on her Dsc.
Any ideas?

There was a similar thread on here earlier... And it really was the moon sign that was best for gifts
I actually checked it, comparing gifts for my sun and the moon... The moon ones made me all like 'ooohhh, I would be so delighted if...', etc. Sun gift suggestions made me feel a bit disappointed, lol.
Let me see if I can find the link.

Do something that celebrates your friendship. Just be somewhere and enjoy each other's company.

If she doesn't have an intercepted chart than she has:

Scorpio Moon 2H or 3H
Pisces Venus 7H or 6H
Aquarius Sun 5H or 6H
Cancer ruling her 11H

Whatever the configuration if your friend is not overly sentimental, she should at least deeply cherish one on one experiences. My suggestion is to find some place cool and make a day of road tripping and enjoying it. My Leo Sun, Scorpio Moon, Virgo ASC best friend has Venus in Leo and I usually find a nice day spa out in the boony-wahs to take her for pampering and cocktails. Depending on the house your friend's Sun is in, you would probably win by just going somewhere beautiful to look at and enjoying each other's company. Perhaps a picnic?

The frustrating thing about Aquarians for some, is that Aquarians tend to not see the romantic aspect of a gift like this, because romantic relationships aren't really that different than friendships for them. You can do stuff like this and enjoy it as friends, because most Aquarians just see it as two friends enjoying a picnic. Something else my friend enjoys is to go out to a nice dinner, jazz club, whiskey bar, wine/chocolate/cheese tasting (for fun and people watching), or even just grab some booze and gelato and have a movie/drinking game marathon. We do this with shows like AbFab or cheesy movies, but any show will do.

My friend may be a Leo, but all her Leo planets are in the 11H, so she has that Uranian energy.

She also seems to have a lot more extroverted placements than your friend, so clubs may not be the best destination for her. Above all for her, I suggest doing something that involves conversation, being surrounded by interesting things to look at, and appreciation for her friendship. Moon in Scorpio and Venus in Pisces may not demand sentiment of their friends, but they sure do appreciate it.

Don't get her a "thing" for her birthday, make a fun memory. =)

Maybe a book on the history of sexuality: it's information (Virgo), sensual topic (Scorpio), and it's a unique-ish gift (Aqua).

Something in that vein would appeal to her the most, I think. Plus, it's a wonderful gesture overall to give a gift, so you're winning no matter what!

LOL! You're probably right. I'm an Aquarius and we LOVE the unusual and/or bizarre. I'd seriously thought about getting married at a funeral parlor. Maybe take her to a palmist and get her fortune told? An unusual SHARED experience sounds like a fun gift to me.

Opps I should of mentioned this...
she's across the country right now so I can't take her anywhere or plan an event, obviously.
She's been sending me letter and gifts and I want to return the favor.

Thats why its a bit challenging, because I don't want to give her a stupid trinket.

I'm writing a creative letter to respond to the one she sent me. She was parodying medieval long distant lovers, it was amusing.
I'm going to paint a tiny portrait of her and put it in a large locket like before photography existed.

Is that a good idea?

I read that article and she's not typical scorpio into crystal balls and metaphysics. She has moon conjunct pluto too.
I felt that was more catered to scorpio suns.

LOL that's an awesome gift. I bet she'll totally wear it. If she has a favorite teddy bear, dog, or old scientist you could put another portrait of that on the other side. I think she will really like your gift whatever you put in it.

Haha really great idea.

I was thinking of painting a portrait of myself on the other side, she would love that. I'm actually good portraits so it's going to look legit. She's an artist too, I'm so mad I didn't think of this before. I might save this for her birthday.. hmm

We're so romantic together it's really funny.
We have venus conjunct mars synastry, figures.
It's strictly platonic with A LOT of cuddling... lol

If you want to save the locket idea for her birthday, consider getting a rustic looking journal and beginning each page with a paragraph or two of random made up story. When she's bored, she can add an odd paragraph or two relating to the one you included and expand the plot. You can then send the journal back and forth until it becomes a very odd and probably terrible/awesome persistent story.

It's a cool way to correspond and for some reason reminds me a bit of the "Griffin and Sabine" books.

Oh, the "Griffin and Sabine" books or most stuff by Nick Bantock would also be good non-occasion gifts for your friend.

OMG you're amazing!!!!
That's a good idea. Wow..

We role play together all the time.
Thats a cutest idea, I'm definitely going to do that.

I made an old wooden book jacket in high school, I think still have that. I'll look for some interesting paper!!

She got me custom made cologne for my b-day thats coming up, I've been looking for new fragrances, I swear she reads my mind.
The scent is perfect for me too, it smells so expensive and french.

Lol. Yes! My thoughts exactly
I now completely understand why I was so incredibly happy with a blanket someone gave me for on the sofa and a pair of fuzzy warm winter socks. Jewellery? Not so much, haha. I'm a Taurus moon

Glad you like the idea. I love Scorpio influenced Aquarians, they are some of my favorite people. =D

That's a really cool idea, though my Virgo Moon would secretly be super relieved to discover it smells good. It's a risky gift, but a good one if the person knows you well.

I'm taking to her about it and her father who makes perfume asked for picture of me and he said I look like french artist.
It's masculine yet feminine.
I don't overpowering/musky or sweet fragrances.

He mixed light blue with natural oils.
It's so amazing. Apparently light blue is her favorite fragrance and he never knew that.
We always have weird connections like that.
