For example sun square Ceres and moon conjunct Ceres in a natal chart. What do you think about such a situation? Does it mean Ceres energy will start flowing once someone/something digs to this person's moon?------------------ I'm sooo happy! I mean, cappy. IP: Logged |

it means that the Ceres energy is compatible/works well with the Moon, and at odds with the Sun's energy.------------------

Neither wins, aspects are about compromise of planetary energies until they find a symbiotic expression. Think of it as if your Sun, Moon, and Ceres are all individual attendees at a party. Moon and Ceres Have a lot in common, while Sun and Ceres need to learn to take turns and listen while the other is speaking. Because they are so similar, Moon and Ceres are on each other's wavelengths so their personalities play off each other with ease. They order the same drink, like the same songs, have similar tastes in clothing, and occasionally help each other pick up cute guys. By the end of the night people are asking them if they are sisters and they both sing a karaoke duet. Eventually the Moon and Ceres may long to do things on their own, but wherever Moon goes, people ask, "Oh aren't you that Ceres girl's sister?" and wherever Ceres goes people say, "Hey where's that Moon chick? You're just not as fun on your own". In this way their energies are fused together and depending on the tightness of the orb, they can be like conjoined twins. The Sun on the other hand tends to rub Ceres the wrong way. At first meeting she didn't find him particularly interesting, in fact his personality seemed fairly contrary to hers. That's okay, because not only did he feel the same about her, he can't really be bothered with trying to get to know someone like that. Neither can really participate in the same conversation without challenging or doing something which slightly offends/agitates the other. It's almost as if their very personalities pokes and instigates something inside the other. Given time, they learn to take turns and appreciate each other's contrary perspective. When that is achieved the realization that each carries a perspective the other lacks becomes the foundation of a long lasting symbiosis. Both the Sun and Ceres eventually open a business together where they can utilize their contrary perspectives in a non-personal and beneficial way. Both scenarios are unique and useful. =) IP: Logged |

But then, won't the Sun and Moon likely be square as well? That plays in too. I don't think the aspects are contradictory, but rather come together to form a unique and multi-faceted personality similar too but different from a personality which only has one of the above mentioned aspects.IP: Logged |

Good point SE. The sun and moon are both in cardinal signs but they don't square each other by aspect.Yeah, I guess I could've put it in a different way ------------------ I'm sooo happy! I mean, cappy. IP: Logged |

That was a VERY helpful way to understand all square aspects! "Given time, they learn to take turns and appreciate each other's contrary perspective." This is the reason I can't stand teaching the early primary grades. IP: Logged | |
