I've been reading a lot about people's Saturn return experiences and they feel really similar to what I have gone through in the past year. I am 26 now and my natal Saturn is in my 7th house. I went into therapy last year (for multiple reasons) and have since been dredging up many of my issues and getting to the bottom of things. Is it possible to experience and learn some of the Saturn return lessons before the energy/transit appears in life? Or am I in for another doozie? I feel like I have learned so many things and addressed long buried parts of my life - including meeting my birth mother for the first time. I see it as an ever evolving process, so I'm not expecting to be free of that work/strife completely. I also have Sun conjunct Saturn on my DC, so I am super familiar with Saturn's energy. I'm hoping at least the things I've learned may soften the blow when January 2016 rolls around. :/ IP: Logged |

I wouldn't consider a Saturn return to be a blow that needs to be softened! Saturn return is a GOOD thing. Once Saturn has made every possible aspect to all the other planets in your chart, the worst is over. Saturn conjunct Saturn is just the end of the 1st part in the trilogy, so to speak. All the characters have been introduced and developed. They continue to have adventures in parts 2 and 3, but how they'll behave is no longer a mystery. You've experienced them before, so you know you can handle what life throws at you since you're familiar with those energy blends and behaviors. It's all the stuff BEFORE the Saturn return that's the rough part; it's called growing up . IP: Logged |

Saturn going through the 7th just plain sucks (and 8th) ... lol... once I went through that it was like there's nowhere to go but up. Hang in there!!! IP: Logged |

I feel ya...I'm in my early thirties so my Saturn return wasn't long ago. But, now I have Saturn opposing my Taurus sun ( Saturn in Scorpio - right on my moon!) I feel like I'm getting hit with yet another Saturn return. The manifestation of the energy for me this time around is hard work. Right when Saturn hit I got a new job and I've been working harder than ever before! It's daunting and stressful at times. I just breathe deep and know I am being tested...pushed to be better. Saturn to me, in my opinion can be like a time to 'walk the walk' so to speak . I won't lie- I can't wait until it's over, lol IP: Logged |

Thanks for the insight, @jkitty! I'm currently experiencing Saturn conjunct Venus, which to me has this sort of surreal feeling. Interested to see what happens next!IP: Logged |

You have some control over what happens next. Saturn can represent discipline and Venus rules finances and the arts. It could be a good aspect for becoming more disciplined in saving (for a major purchase like a home or for retirement, paying off student loans, etc) or developing an interest in the arts like learning to paint or play an instrument. If you use ANY aspect's energy in a positive way, it's much less likely to manifest in a negative. IP: Logged |
