For example my Venus is in the sixth house which means I can only work under harmonious conditions at work and I have to actually like my job.

So does this mean that those I do not work with will never see my Venus?

No. Some people don't work. Does that mean the 6th house has no place in their life? No. The 6th house relates to certain feelings of "public cooperation" I think. I might be wrong about how the 6th house is defined. But it can come out at any part of your day. It just depends on you and how you are percieving reality at the time I think. You could just be chatting with someone and the 6th house could come out. Or you could be by yourself and thinking about how to help the community or something. Idk

I am mystified too because I have Venus in 10 and cannot relate to what it says about career, or maybe I can a little. Just can't relate to career advancement. I think it means I should be involved in Venusian activities and try to eek out a living that way but will never have much money (Neptune is in 2 opposing Moon which rules MC.) It just means I have to appreciate art and soul over money and possessions so I try to peer deeper.

Plus I got Pisces on the cusp of house six and North Node. Pisces does not really mesh with working super hard, that's Virgo's domain more than Pisces. So, I don't have much stamina or drive. I do when it comes to writing but that's about it. I get exhausted very easily, am super high strung. Just being in a room with too many people will exhaust me in not time or put me in a super bad mood. I pick up on all the various vibes.

Sixth house is the work house. With Venus there. me guesses, you might find what is ruled by this house too harsh, like really hard physical labor, boring everyday tasks, "chores." It also rules pets. This could be why you have a nurturing streak, you might love animals and they need daily care. It's ruled by house six. So, with Venus there, it might be a bit like having Pisces on the cusp since Venus is exalted there. Also, you say you do not relate well to Capricorn descriptions. Venus in six might soften you up when it comes to daily tasks so you long for something easier and funner, not so boring and monotonous. Does this sound like something you can relate to?

No, no and NO! The 6th House is a severely misunderstood house. Everything is much more psychological than it looks. Forget about the 6th being co-workers and routine. I’ll try to explain this as much as I can. (even I who have a massive 6th stellium have trouble defining this house)

First of all – a house works differently which each planet. The same way guests are all different people but they make do in the environment they’re in. Psychologically 6th House has a lot of Virgo qualities – mainly only feeling valuable when you’re doing something useful. Unlike the 10th House, the 6th doesn’t seek fame or glory. It just wants to be recognized as the one who holds everything together and the one whose work really matters. 6th House always wants to do everything right and unfortunately succumbs to hyper self-criticism and criticism of others.

The 6th House is a very serious position for Venus. Venus is not showy here. She doesn’t want undeserved flattery. She yearns to be recognized for her deeds and usefulness. She often feels undeserving of love because she feels that she has to work for it and can’t imagine that someone would love her just for being herself. Unfortunately 6th House also rules inequality meaning Venus will probably never feel equal to her partner. She may feel as though he is taking her for granted or that she is taking too much without giving in return. She needs to learn balance and self-acceptance. Another keyword for the 6th is conflicts and obstacles – Venus will always seem to have it harder than others when it comes to love. A lot of times objectively there is no actual problem but she feels she has to overcome some kind of obstacle. On the positive side this is a peacemaker position. Venus will have an uncanny ability to resolve conflicts. Venus in this position dislikes spontaneity, at best she could be a great organizer, at worst she could develop an unbreakable routine (especially with sex) that her partner might tire of. She shows her love by doing little things for her partner. There are two great dangers with this position – she could either become a slave to her partner or turn her partner into her own personal lackey. With Pisces this stresses the psychological factors. The service Venus provides will probably be emotional or spiritual, it might not relate to the psychical world. There might be inequality on an emotional level. Venus may often feel a martyr.

The worst partner for 6th House Venus is someone who is ungrateful and likes to send people on guilt trips. This is 6th House Venus’s weakest point – shame and guilt over failure.

The best partner for 6th House Venus is someone who could bring balance to her mind. Someone who will return her favors, some who acknowledges and appreciates her.

^Interesting, Meyrey, and you have so much in the sixth with all the Scorpio planets and sun, right? I only have the north node. I don't really like the sixth house because I have a sign on the cusp that might be considered entirely incompatible with sixth house matters while my Virgo sun lingers between houses 11/12. Scorpio planets would do nicely in six because Scorpio can be like Virgo in a lot of ways psychologically except Scorpio is much more profound and can get right into whatever it is they are thinking about. It's partly due to water sign intuition, depth of feeling that allows this.

Since I have Pisces on the cusp I find myself identifying much more with the sign than the the house and tend to avoid what it represents, especially physically demanding labor. It's what I am worst at, probably due to the Pisces cusp.

I can only speak from my personal experience with Pisces on cusp/north node in six. Having Venus there and Pisces might (not guaranteed) cause you to have a disdain for sixth house matters (like work that takes a toll on the physical body) while valuing what Venus in Pisces instead, and this might be your attitude toward sixth house matters. Oh, and you could really love your pets, like them more than people.

In my experience, having the opposite sign on the cusp of the house creates a certain amount of disdain in life. There seems to be an element of dissatisfaction, one possible consequence of having a Libra ascendant. I understand you have Virgo, it can be very similar because of cusps.

I've got that placement! Meyray and StarlightSmile Supreme both covered it quite well. I DO love my cats better then kids because they have the playfulness of children but the independence of adults. Even those things I haven't personally experienced I can tell I have the potential for. For instance, with the inequality stuff, I could see myself doing that in sexual role play but my partner and I (if I had one) would have to go back and forth trading roles. But I have to disagree with the unbreakable routine for sex. I LOATH routine. Routine requires discipline and Venus in 6th is not a good placement for discipline in daily schedules. Venus don't do what she don't wanna do! You can only guilt trip her so far.

I just have to add that Venus will also manifest in other houses if she makes an aspect to a planet in that house. So since my Venus is square to Mars in the 9th, it will influence 9th house stuff through Mars and since it trines my 10th house Moon in Leo, it will influence 10th house things through my Moon. AND she will have influence in the houses that have Libra or Taurus on the cusps since she will rule those houses.

I have a tough time connecting romance to the sixth house. This is why I choose to believe Venus, in the sign of exaltation, will override the sixth house. This placement could enhance the traits of Venus in Pisces, making them even more obvious, and goatcat even more determined to live solely through this placement, not the house itself.

Perhaps. I have Taurus on my 8th house cusp so, like it or not, the two are connected for me. One of my favorite fantasies? A handsome, fit man cleans my house top to bottom wearing nothing but a leeeetle apron over the dangly bits. The feather duster will then become a sex toy and the dangly bits don't stay dangling for long. MAXimum Maid -- for when you NEED a REALLY DEEP dusting!

Interesting.
I have a grand trine of 6th house Venus in Pisces, 10th house Mars in Cancer, and 2nd house Moon in Scorpio.

With Pisces on the cusp of six I just wish other people would clean my house for me, but not strangers I hire, just family members, and these are the ones who are the most reluctant. My mom never liked cleaning up after me. When I was a kid I was a complete, utterly disorganized mess. I had zero organization skills. I have since improved some but things were really chaotic for places like my room.

This is why I laugh when I read descriptions of Virgo, if only they could have seen what I was like as a kid, absolutely zero organization, liked to scatter my drawings all over my room. It was a literal sea of papers in there. My mom would demand I clean it, I would throw a fit, got mad, and stuffed everything I could under the bed.

This is also why I get the impression the sign Pisces totally took over the sixth house and it just became a clearing house for characteristics of that sign, for better or worse.

Guess you are are talking about your bf dressing up and cleaning, I wouldn't even require dressing up, just cleaning. Let them clean is my motto instead of "let them eat cake," heh.

Let THEM clean -- yep, that's the 6th house inequality for ya. But he would be dressing DOWN. Do you think tying an SO to the bedposts and tormenting him might get him to clean?

It is service. It is a giving of a practical service to others such as feeding people. taking care of cars, hairdressing etc.

Also, it is about the spirit of giving in a practical way, such as this. A woman could bake pies for people and this would be 6th House

It is health, too.

Venus in the 6th may be someone who likes to help people with practical things such as helping someone fix his car, cooking a meal for someone etc.

This is Virgo's house and Virgo is very generous with his giving and it is usually practical.
