This would be nice to know haha. When I was originally looking for info on this aspect, I found this:

This is a disruptive aspect that works primarily in the love life area, though it can have repercussions on finances and other areas as well. It's one of the classic indicators of divorce-proneness and romantic / marital difficulties. People with this aspect are demonstrative, warm, and generally faithful when committed, but they demand a lot in return. In extreme cases, when needs aren't met, dissipation of various types can result, with infidelity, gambling, and / or excessive drinking being the most common form of misdirection of romantic / sexual energies.

And from a reading:

There is a tendency to be somewhat taciturn and reserved; perhaps a little too prudent.
You have a fear of letting go that may manifest as an apparent lack of emotion. You don't
always like what you are feeling, or own up to it. You are probably not an animal lover.
Venus Square Mars (orb: 07 34')

I have my disagreements with the second interp tho.

As the person owning this aspect, one of the best ways to deal with it from what I am learning is trying to keep things light hearted and not rush into a relationship or jump from one to another, learn to compromise and don't let yourself be bullied around by an significant other. - I've read a lot about people with this aspect can be aggressors but I don't think thats always the case or maybe has something to do with what signs are being squared. I think sometimes it is the other way around.

I think really the lesson with this aspect is learning to give and take in relationships and learn to keep things equal. And maybe a lesson in "just because you attract a bunch of jerks, doesn't mean you should date them". haha.

As for dealing with someone with this aspect, I would have no idea. Or maybe that's the type of person I should look for. xD. It's almost like everyone can relate to and deal with half of the venus/mars going on but not the whole thing.

Virgo Sun
Gemini Moon
Cancer Asc
Leo Mercury
Libra Venus
Capricorn Mars

Yeah, I'm all mixed up.

I have this aspect but it's out of sign with Venus at 27Pisces59 and Mars at 0Can13. Having both as water signs doesn't really help the square, just makes me more sensitive.

I think some of how you deal with this depends on house placement. My Mars is in the 9th, so I turn to God, and my Venus is in the 6th, so I tend to lavish my affection on my pets.

I suggest you look at any flowing aspects to either planet; I have a trine from Venus to Moon (also out of sign) and a trine from Mars to Mercury (yep, out of sign). The extra energy from the square can be released to some extent through the other planets. Try dealing with the aspect more holisticly. My 5th house Mercury gets some creative energy from that square and the square also fuels my Leo moon in the 10th for performing arts. Maybe this works for me because Leo is the natural ruler of the 5th and that could help.

Maybe you could post your chart and we can brainstorm some ideas on how you can use that aspect in a positive manner.
