Or re-trigger one? Could synastry trigger it? If someone has a similarities in birth chart to you and has the same aspects that were responsible for it in the first place.

For me, it was Jupiter and Chiron transiting my first. I read on some website, I think sasstrology, where in synastry Jupiter falling in the partners 1st, can cause the 1st person house to gain weight. I've also heard of Venus/Jupiter doing this too. I think these are the "getting too comfortable" in a relationship aspects lol.IP: Logged |

I don't think synastry can trigger an eating disorder. But if a guy makes you feel like you have to lose weight, change your appearance & etc. then he sure as hell ain't worth it! IP: Logged |

I checked my transits for the time I first developed an ED - all I can see is tChiron and tNeptune (conjunct) square my natal Pluto in the 6th.But here's the interesting thing - I checked midpoints, and get this: tSaturn was right on my Moon/Pluto MP (I have them square natally, both afflicted by Saturn). So naturally, it showed a restriction and control (Saturn) of eating habits (Moon) due to negative, obsessive ideas (Pluto). tPluto was conjunct my Sun/Saturn MP and Mercury/Saturn MP - showing an obsessive preoccupation (Pluto) with personal flaws (Sun/Saturn) and obsessive negative thinking (Mercury/Saturn). As for synastry, my answer is yes. Someone can make you develop unhealthy thinking about yourself and "push" you into negative behaviour (even though they're not aware of it). That's happened to me.
We both had Moon conjunct Chiron, opposite Saturn and square Pluto natally, and it was repeated in synastry and composite. Extremely intense and unhealthy.

Doux For me, anorexia happened during t-Pluto conj natal Jupiter and since Jup is conj Asc by antiscia, t-Pluto did the same. As for bingeing, I honestly lost track of those periods, they were very frequent. Synastry-wise, I do agree that some people can make you very restless or nervous and that can translate in an eating disorder. I sincerely dislike Jup in hard aspect with my Sun. I have the trine natally and I cannot stand squares or oppositions to it. Uranus is next in line but I think mostly in regards to hard aspects with Moon. My mentor has his Uranus/Jup/Pluto in Virgo sq my Moon and he is known to have sabotaged my efforts to lose weight repeatedly. Also is responsible for making my work life chaotic as hell (Moon rules my 6th). IP: Logged |

See with the synastry thing - we have a lot of similarities and I think he has a little bit of a eating issue but it plays out differently. We both have Taurus moon opp Scorpio Pluto in the 12th. We both are Scorpio risers and have Gemini Venus (1 degree from each other) opposite Saturn and Uranus. (I have it opp Neptune too) We re both also triple fixed except he's a Taurus sun. (I'm Leo/Taurus/Scorpio) He doesn't make me feel bad about myself whatsoever. But he works out a lot and maybe when he talked about that kinda stuff it just triggered it for me, especially with so much in common natally. I realized I was starting to slip back into old patterns and really wasnt liking how my clothes were fitting after losing some weight. I snapped out of it pretty quickly. I liked the control but not the results. I have tSaturn conjunct my natal Pluto so it's opp my moon and whatnot

Ohh yes, that makes sense, peach. Some people definitely trigger me - the ones that are naturally very skinny or who have ED's themselves - I can't keep in touch with them for the sake of my own sanity; too much pressure. I hope you'll be able to deal with this effectively Know that you are beautiful just the way you are. ~
