The only thing in common with between both system is the zodiac signs.
The methods are quite different. Western is focused on the exterior, and the personality but Vedic goes in depth about karma and future.People don't seem to grasp that and just focus on the signs an ignore everything else. Typical of human behavior.
I don't understand something, it's different. It has to be WRONG!!!! What I believe is RIGHT! Not directing this at you OP, just people who find it inaccurate for no reason. I prefer to use western for day to day things, but I also relate to Vedic astrology, and use it when I'm exploring my karma. IP: Logged |

Also there's another reason too.
A western astrologer who makes his/her living off of astrology will surely discourage people from exploring Vedic astrology.If people switch over to Vedic, what will happen western astrology? I don't see vedic astrology dying down because it will always popular the subcontinent of india, and indian culture, like all exotic cultures are attractive to westerners. I could possibly see vedic astrology becoming far more popular in the future. Just like Chinese astrology. it's all about $$$ At the end of the day you study what feels right for you.

I think western is better personality wise but Vedic I'd better as far as life traits...the only textbook Virgo description i have anyway Is criticizing. Other than that I'm not a neat freak. Im not a server i prefer to lead. But then again my pride isnt that bad nor do i feen for spotlight. Im VERY ambitious.IP: Logged |
