So is this a negative aspect or positive? The Solar return also has Uranus conjunct ASC EXACT....
So would this be a difficult year?

Well, I don't really like the terms "positive" and "negative" when it comes to defining an aspect, because it's just energy, and it can be used both positively and negatively.

Generally, an opposition is considered "negative", because it's a hard aspect and therefore both energies (in your case, Sun and Moon) find it hard to work together. It's a back and forth thing. So you may express your Sun one day and the next express your Moon.

Uranus conjunct ASC, well that could point to a need for freedom or change, more than usual.

I can't tell you if this year is gonna be "difficult", but you may need to make some adjustements (but then again, who doesn't?) to make the best out of it.

I don't really know much about SR charts, by the way, so this is pretty much just speculation!

I think the natal chart also counts, yes.
Especially if some angles fall on planets - for example, your SR ASC conjuncts your natal Mars, well everything related to Mars will be highlighted this year.

And vice-versa - a SR planet conjunct your natal ASC will probably make an impact on your personality or physical body in some way (ASC).

Okay, the SR ASC opposes natal Saturn EXACT....which means the SR ASC-Uranus conjunction exactly opposes the natal Saturn.
