I've always been quite uncertain regarding the matter of unaspected planets.
I honestly do not understand how they work or how do they affect the native. I've read countless articles on the subject but I still feel confused about the entire thing.

I have an unaspected Jupiter sitting on my second house, with my Moon right there too. It makes no major aspects to any other planet, except for a sextile to Chiron ( which is not a planet).
I'm wondering what does having an unaspected Jupiter mean ? Does the state of being unaspected gives Jupiter more freedom and power ( similar to being a singleton) or does it makes weaker, detached from the rest of the chart ?
This is really important to me because I have a 4 planets + N.Node Stellium in Sagittarius ( in 3rd/4th house) which makes Sagittarius the most prominent Sign in my chart.

i'm in a similar boat but haven't been able to really find an answer. i have no major aspects, only 2 quintile to my sun and mercury and 1 biquintiles to my neptune. i also have have a jupiter-chiron aspect - the semi-sexile.

^^ sagittarius isn't as prominent in my chart (just my saturn and uranus that oppose my venus) but my sun and mercury are in my 9th house.

sorry i could only relate, not help.

From what I understand, unaspected planets are rogue and untamed.

From astrotheme:

When Jupiter is unaspected in a chart, the best and the worst can be expected. Let's begin with the best. Jupiter is also known as the planet of Greater Fortune, meaning that he is the luckiest planet. He is par excellence the planet of social adaptation, of legality, of optimism, of organisation, and of success. One can imagine that with unaspected Jupiter, at times, the person enjoys unfailing protection and stimulation, and that his career and destiny are favoured... in fits and starts.

Since Jupiter is not connected to any other planet, when a hard transit or progression occurs, his influence may be reversed. What prevails then is a tendency towards solitude and groundless exuberance. The person may take decisions on the verge of illegality and finds it hard to accept any form of authority.

In any case, owing to the very nature of this planet, such sporadic or repeated inconvenience cannot cause really serious harm, especially given the fact that with Jupiter, we enter the domain of collective planets. Therefore, it is most unlikely that the person is personnally affected.

A good example of a chart with Jupiter unaspected is the nonconformist singer Janis Joplin (if we take only a 9 degree orb for her Sun-Jupiter opposition, and a 10 degree orb for her Moon-Jupiter conjunction. Astrotheme uses slightly larger orbs).

Some astrologers consider the Quintiles/Bi-quintiles important aspects but the majority do not think so.
My unaspected Jupiter semi-sextile Venus and Mars and that's it.
I've always felt lucky specially with education and meeting new people.
I was registered at the best dormitory, got a full scholarship to the most prestigious school in my country. I Never had trouble with money. I always seem to meet the right people at the right time.
I was saved by many strangers from different unpleasant situations.
Sometimes I get this feeling of being watched over/ of being protected by some force.
I wonder why do I feel so when Jupiter isn't even in my 12th house which is supposed to be the typical" Guardian Angel" placement.

My take on the Unaspected Jup is that you will have many wonderful opportunities that will come up as looking like luck and good fortune. However, you may need to go through some trials and hardships to learn how to access this special kind of good luck. Does that fit?

I felt like that too! I always just attributed it to my religious/spiritual beliefs

I remember asking a Vedic astrologer about this. She told me that unaspected planets are " rewards" granted to the native by Karma for
doing "good" or being " good" in a past life.
They come about as passive in a chart but their effects are subtle and their energy is always there but kind of invisible.
The energy/gifts of unaspected planets get activated by circumstances and sometimes they are called upon by the sheer willpower of the native.
It's similar the state of a dormant volcano. tThat's what she told me.

I'm not a religious person at all. Spiritual, you can say so but I never believed nor liked organized religions.
I just love life and try to respect every living being in me. When I was a kid, I never played around by killing plants, insects or animals and I still refuse too . When my sis used to have fun stomping down on ants colonies, I would shove her away and cry over the poor dead ants.
It always felt so wrong for me not to stand up for these tiny creatures.
I still do so, just a few months ago, I found a snake in my garden. Everyone yelled at me to kill it but I didn't. I just picked it up and took off to the nearby woods then released it.
I think kindness is not just limited to human relationships only but to all living beings.
