So maybe it's me and my quirky placements... But I have a crazy albeit fascinating love life. What I desire (Venus) and what I crave sexually (Mars) are never in sync. I'm sexually attracted to deep, insightful men that daydream a lot... While I also desire a lighthearted, mercurial relationship with banter and fun. Can't really banter with a guy whose head is always in the clouds... The Aries I'm dating now is actually pretty down to earth (Taurus Mars, Cap rising) but what I really love about him is his MIND. He has Pisces Mercury. The problem with him is that he is always spaced out and on this very personal spiritual journey... I want to talk to him about deep spiritual topics but he's always mentally... Somewhere else in SPACE. He has Aquarius Moon conj Venus which really doesn't help.

Point is, I'm always attracted to these deep, spiritual guys but I also want light-hearted fun! It's already a rare occasion that I can capture the Aries long enough to get him into a deep intellectual exchange. I mean, I lose him at grocery stores because he'll wander off into a different section thinking about whatever he's thinking about. Probably Siddhartha. It's nearly impossible to get him to laugh at something silly and stupid like a GIF or meme. And I freaking love stuff like that! Constantly!

Alternatively, the Aries has Aquarius Venus sq Taurus Mars. He says his issue is that he likes weird, quirky girls but also craves someone who is secure, almost an asset of his. Basically, he has told me that he wants to "own" me, meaning I am his and his always... Fortunately for him, I'm Cancer enough to take care of my finances. However, I have my moments where I get flighty and incredibly impulsive, which is a very integral part of my quirkiness. I embrace my Gemini Venus to the fullest, including my moments of spontaneity. On a whim, I can drop $900 of my savings on a trip across the country to sate my wanderlust. He says he finds me fascinating, but it irritates him when I do things so impulsively.

Does anyone else with Venus sq Mars have problems like this with their significant other?

Ha! Me too. And to all of the above. xD

I do feel as tho I have the issue where every SO I have had is missing some part of the equation of what I need/want. They either have a good sense of humor and cant hold a convo or smart and super serious but cannot get them to crack a smile.

I have actually never dated a Gemini man. Ever. Not even met one and flirted with one. I worked with one and he and I got along really well. We always exchanged stories about our sexual exploits, but that's about it.
