What are some aspects that make you seem kind of Nazi-like? Not necessarily physically violent, but you treat people who you find impure with disdain. And this isn't limited to anti-Semitism at all!

And, like, what aspects lead to you being able to defend your opinions in a logical and calm manner, even if your opinions aren't that logical to most?

That would probably be a negative manifestation of Leo (pride) and perhaps Cancer (patriotism to groups, including race, I knew one Cancer who used to be an obnoxious racist, which may have been due to his loyalty to his family who held such beliefs, but did a complete reversal later and actively opposed racism though it alienated him from his family).

As for being able to defend your opinions in a logical and calm manner (assuming of course this is actually accurate and not just self-delusion as it is for many who believe they're calm while acting all Jerry Springer but that the slightest challenge is perceived as a terrible personal attack) I have multiple guesses about Mercury (though of course other aspects matter as they mix with the mercurial energies). First is Cappie mercury as they tend to compartmentalize a lot and break an argument down to "manageable" size, which is sometimes a very good way to go about it while other times it misses the forest for the trees. I'd think a Virgo Merc would be very organized in their thinking similar (but not the same) as a Cappie as well. And Taurus can be simple & stubborn (and the Taurus man/Sag woman conversation in Linda Goodman's Love Signs is hilarious and touches on this indirectly), and I suppose with say a Leo ascendant they'd be inclined to put themselves out there like that.

Despite a tendency to be objective and detached, Libra doesn't seem as likely as they have a tendency to see other viewpoints (which would make Nazi-like beliefs hard) and be people pleasers who even want their enemies to like them so it doesn't seem likely unless they were immersed in a Nazi-like social circle (difficult to happen today) with little contact beyond that.

Of course these would only nudge/push, not dictate. A person could have all kinds of social reasons to hold such beliefs (and plenty throw them away later, such as Prussian Blue) which might be fanned or suppressed by their natal chart, or their chart might cause them to accept such beliefs in the name of rebelling (that is, a person with such beliefs today in defiance of family, society, etc, could have its source in Uranus wanting to shake things up, but a century ago would actually be the opposite as the point isn't the beliefs but in challenging the status quo, that is in shocking others and/or making one's self different from conventional belief).

I can a give a precise example for this because I’ve seen it. Mars in Cancer (the negative manifestation just like PixieJane explained) square Mercury in Libra. Mars arouses Mercury and gives it a pushy authoritarian way of thinking. While it’s in Libra, Mercury seems logical and calm but its opinions are biased. Afflicted Libra can twist its sense of justice and believe only in itself making it bigoted.
Other general examples I can point out are:

  • Aquarius is definitely involved. I’ve seen it as Aquarius Moon and Saturn square Scorpio Neptune
  • Debilitated Mars in the 9th House
  • Leo Saturn
  • Pluto-Mercury aspects
  • Debilitated Capricorn placements (for elitism)
  • Debilitated Sagittarius placements (for bigotry)

This is a character issue that spans all charts even the best of ones

However, if I had to say some Astrological issue, I would say low water.

Any sheeple could be a Nazi. Look up the Milgrim experiments.

Yeah, but they'd need to be contemporary, not historical. I do believe the guy who founded (leads?) WAR (White Ayran Resistance) would be perfect as he fits the description perfectly, and tends to be calm, clear, and methodical in promoting his views (though the ones in WAR I actually met weren't anything like that, but then they were all under 21 whereas the leader/founder looked to be middle-aged at least).

I'd say anyone who "treat people who you find impure with disdain." That could include racists of all types as well as others (like those who stick their noses up at anyone not born with a silver spoon in their mouth). Of course they'd then need to be able to have a "calm and logical" demeanor as well.

The Milgrim experiments replicate Nazi germany with average people. People are compliant. Some of the people who scream the loudest that they are individuals are the biggest sheeple

Ok, lets start with this as you are being so gracious! I can see Libra Merc being able to be twisted. Libra Moon has little natural loyalty, so it may fall under this category, too. Do you agree?

Why do you have Mars in cancer here?

Aquarius is definitely involved. I’ve seen it as Aquarius Moon and Saturn square Scorpio Neptune

YES, Aquarius was my first thought. They are so self righteous that they end up clueless.

Aquarius Sun would be as bad as the Moon. Do you agree? Maybe, the moon would be worse but the Sun would be bad too

How do you get Saturn sq neptune in Scorpio?

I will await your answers until I write more xx

Mainly because this is in the chart of a person who has some narrow-minded viewpoints. I think the Libra Mercury-Cancer Mars square is somewhat responsible for this. Mars is a soldier – he fights, he initiates and he asserts himself. Cancer is typically viewed as feminine and motherly but what happens when Cancer has to be a soldier? I think Mars in Cancer acts only according to his beliefs and comforts. If he takes something as a slight he will forever consider the person responsible as an enemy (might be a little dramatic but for lack of better words this will do). In reality the person may not be an enemy, the person may not even be aware that he insulted Mars. It’s that kind of emotional “reasoning” that creates resentment and bigotry. Also let’s not forget Cancer’s nurturing side, when expressed in masculine way Cancer may want to fight off perceived threads of his loved ones. His loved ones may not be people he knows but groups he belongs in – gender, race, religion etc. Pride and protection seems more befitting to Mars than love and nurturing. With a square from logical Mercury in diplomatic Libra this gives Mars an opportunity to rationalize his anger and mistrust and turn it into cold disdain.

This said person often likes to say that the white race is about to go extinct because of miscegenation. He considers it a pity because, and I quote “It’s sad that white race, the race which created today’s civilization, is about to go extinct. What have the others done?” He doesn’t hate other races, he just doesn’t want them to interfere with the group he belongs in. He wants to protect it – typical for Cancer. He also has a Moon-Saturn conjunction in Aquarius (who is known to be uppity with his opinions) that trines Mercury and that fuels the seemingly logical and reasonable rationalizations. He is actually a very intelligent man, he’s just overly traditional.

As for Libra Moon I think things are a little different there because of the nature of the body. Mercury only acts as a catalyst for Mars. If the Moon is alone I highly doubt it’ll turn bigoted, if it’s afflicted by Mars (let’s say the same Cancer Mars) I think the disdain will be much more emotional and personal than with the Mercury-Mars square. The Moon-Mars individual’s struggles might be with separate people rather than groups and he won’t go out of his way to start rationalizing. Of course other aspects in the chart should be observed to see how these aspects will turn out.

This sounds like an afflicted Jupiter (or an afflicted planet in Sagittarius) to me. The shadow side of Jupiter is self-righteous and dogmatism, particularly about personal philosophies/belief systems.

Or an afflicted Pluto (or Scorpio) person, because of the need for power and control - "My way of thinking is right, and if you don't agree I will crush you".

Afflicted Saturn (and Capricorn) also - again, the need for authority or to be the final say, similar to Pluto.

Any or all of those busy and afflicted in a chart, is going to give you a person who sometimes tries to force their beliefs down other people's throats, make them agree, and condemns those who won't bend.

The sign Aquarius, not so much, because Aquarius is pretty humanitarian and live-and-let-live, "We're all equal". If I saw the chart of an Aquarius person who was that way, first thing I'd do is go look to see what Jupiter, Saturn and Pluto are up to.

I am not sure why but I find this question rather offensive. How does one distinguish "compassion"? Is a person that lacks compassion towards the human race but is very compassionate towards his pets/animals, less compassionate than the opposite? If we are talking purely patriotic attributes, I would like to mention Aquarius and Cancer as the two top candidates in starting blocks..maybe with a slight preference towards an Aqua Moon and Cancer Sun...

My Sag sun friend with Aquarius and the moon rising is totally non Nazi. He's the most easy going person I ever met and so accepting of all kinds of people from all walks of life. I am more judgmental than him. He even gives homeless people his spare change when I kinda turn my nose up at them like, "who are you and what do you want." That tends to be my natural attitude but this guy is super friendly with all people.

Just out of curiosity why would you apologize to Libra but not Taurus? To quote Linda Goodman in Sun Signs:
http://mizian.com.ne.kr/englishwiz/library/names/zodiac/taurus.htm

quote:
The bull seldom rushes forward to stomp on your toes. He simply wants to be left alone. Don't disturb him and he'll remain contented. Press him and he becomes obstinate. Shove too hard, tease too much, and be prepared for violent rage. He can go for months and years on end. exhibiting perfect poise and control, inhaling the fragrance of the posies and ignoring the nervous clacking and clucking all around him. Then some unexpected day, a pushy person will pile one straw too many on his broad back. He'll snort, begin to paw the earth, narrow his eyes-and charge. Get out of the way as fast as you can and run for your lifel The Taurean temper is seldom displayed impulsively, but when the bull gets mad, he can destroy everything in his path, up to and including Scorpios. Destroy is not the right word. Demolish is better. It may be some time before the dust settles and peace reigns again. Some Taureana have such control that they only charge once or twice in. a whole lifetime. Even the quick-tempered ones won't erupt more than once or twice a year, if that often. Still, it's best to remember that Taurus usually doesn't get just a little mad or annoyed. If the incident is large enough to rock his normally placid emotions, you can count on blind fury, no ordinary anger

In contrast, an annoyed Libra is more likely to be passive aggressive, and actually you could get a Libra to say the same thing about their own sign by saying it could never happen (and if Libra agrees then watch the eye twitch as s/he tries hard to not balance the scales with an opposing view). (Obviously, I'm only taking the sun sign into account.)
