Charming but may have a hard time attracting partners / feeling attractive. I've noticed Venus Rx often points to difficulties in romance directly related to the principle of attraction - it's like they can't attract what they desire (unrequited love). It's certainly not unmanageable, tho.

I have that placement actually and what Doux Reve said is fairly accurate. It is my lack of feeling attractive which in turn affects my confidence which in turn makes it difficult for me to attract partners. I also have my Retro Venus square Chiron in the 7th and in exact sextile to Saturn in the 12th, so I have added layers on top of it. It feels like a battle I've been fighting my entire life (and yes, unrequited love figures very strongly into it). To be honest, it's a battle I'm getting very very tired of fighting... IP: Logged |

When the chart ruler is retrograde, it can point to a late bloomer. I know several people who have it (including myself) and it's taken us some time to "fit in" and do things that we were "expected" to do.More about Venus retro: http://sasstrology.com/2012/08/when-venus-hides-her-face-venus-retrograde-in-the-natal-chart.html IP: Logged |

Hey it's my chart ruler too! I agree with that late bloomer thing. I hardly did/do what was/is expected of me. And i have trouble fitting in with others. IP: Logged |

my bf has a venus rx aqua and sun aqua - a wide conjunction and he's a mess when it comes to romance. he lacks confidence and initiative in romance and i do (unfortunately) see him wanting to be with another type of woman than myself, but not having the confidence to go after them. it's like he has an ideal for himself but doesn't get it. his ideal being a nice, quiet doormat :-) like someone said, it's like knowing what you want but not going for it. he struggles with verbally expressing love too, but that could be the aqua - not sure if it's true for all. and he's very charming, and it's in his 5thIP: Logged |

I have it! Sun in Capricorn conjuncting Retrograde Aquarius Venus. This placement is a torture because this conjunction gives us beauty and harmony but the Retrograde ruins all that beauty. I always had an issue approaching the ones I like. It's so hard for me to express my self, I feel like I'm gonna get humiliated. I'm very selfish on this one.------------------ "No eternal reward will forgive us now for wasting the dawn" IP: Logged |

I would say that the positive qualities of this placement (and yes, there are positive qualities), is that we still HAVE the Venus conjunct Sun. So we still have the ability to access all of the benefits of that placement (charm, beauty, etc) along with the ability to be thoughtful about it (retrograde anything). This can make us a force to be reckoned with when we can actually move past the insecurity/indecisiveness/fear, etc. IP: Logged |

Ok so in that case the only reason we have trouble attracting partners are due to insecurity? because im generally a pretty outgoing person and im confident etc but when i fall for someone i find i have to really man myself up to make a move :P and its always me that has to make the move because im male. although i do have mars conjunct ascendant so the insecurity is burried deep underneath.
