I've never broken anything even though I've had a few epic falls and now I started wondering what might indicate strong bones in a natal chart. Any ideas?

I'm sooo happy! I mean, cappy.

Saturn rules the skeleton and bones and bone structure.

Heh Does it matter whether a Saturn aspect is soft or hard?

Saturn trines sun, sextile mars and conjuncts mc.

I never broke a bone in my life and I use to climb on tall fences, tree, skateboards and fall down or crash all the time.

I have a lot of scars thou

Even though - I broke my leg 3 times and my hand 3 times as well... the strength of the bones was not the problem. It's truly a miracle - that I'm still alive with no physical handicap.

I have Sun square Saturn and Ascendant trine Saturn.

The only bone I've "broken" is my 6th metatarsal on my right foot (strangely enough, I've got Pisces on the 6th). Shattered it, actually, in ballet class when I was 17. Hah

I've got Saturn 5H in Sag. It rules my Cap 6H, trines my Leo ASC and Aries Venus, and squares my Pisces Jupiter.

I took many spills and tumbles down hills and out of trees or even off of dirt bikes as a child and never broke anything. The worst I had was a hairline fracture in my wrist when I was 12 from ice-skating until my friend rolled her car when I was 17.

The accident completely shattered one of the vertebrae (T5 one of the hardest to damage) in my spine but left it holding it's shape. I walked away from the accident and had x-rays that day, doctors sending me home with Tylenol-3 and a broken spine I spent 6 months wondering why it hurt to sneeze, cough and laugh...

It wasn't until another car accident that actually collapsed the shattered vertebrae that I found out my back was broken...almost 5 years after the first accident.

I can still walk, talk, use my arms and function as normally as anyone else, with a little added pain. If it weren't for the strength of my bones I'd probably be paralyzed now instead of later in my life...

Wow, LionFish, glad to hear you're okay now.

I have strong bones.
They're quite massive, too.. I'm a big girl.

I think it's because my chart ruler is in a fixed sign - Scorpio.

Don't think it's about Cap or Saturn cause I've known some people who have Cap rising and Saturn prominent in their charts and they're actually quite.. frail.

But I dunno.

Thank you. It's been a long, painful journey to get where I am now and I'll never be 100% again, but at least I look at it as at least I can still walk. The first accident easily could have killed both my friend and I, we had a guardian angel or two watching over us that morning.

So your ASC is Scorpio as well?

Maybe it has to do with fixed ASC?

Although, Saturn does, like somethingexcellent mentioned, rule the skeletal structure.

Do the Cap/Saturn influenced people you were referring to maybe have an afflicted 1st or 6th house?

Positive Saturn aspects probably.

Strong Pluto for the recovery of injuries? It does give you the chance to come out of things stronger, so I thought physical injuries too. Saturn-Pluto especially.

It's a great thing you're alive and can walk and do things without much difficulty (too bad for the pain, though..).
I hope you won't ever go through something like that again.
And yes, you probably have an angel watching over you. ~

No, actually my ASC is in a mutable sign - Gemini.

Oh you made a good point.
The people I'm thinking about both have their chart rulers afflicted (they're both Cap risings), whereas mine isn't.

I do have a prominent Saturn, too.
It makes a few hard aspects but trines my 6th house ruler, Venus.

Hm..

It could be a combination of ASC/chart ruler + Saturn.

Is there something called a 'soft' saturn aspect?

Jessica,

Technically, "soft" aspects apply to all planets, including Saturn.
So Saturn sextiles and trines would be called soft aspects.

Interesting! I have Saturn favorably aspected, and I've never broken a bone, despite many foolish stunts in my life.

Jupiter in my 6th house opposes my Saturn in my 12th house and I have always been in tip-top shape and health. On the downside though I have always had heavy bones and i have "heavy hands".

I think this may have to do with houses instead of just planetary aspects alone.

My ex has her Saturn on her ASC and she has/had(?) Multiple sclerosis. But it hasn't affected her in any negative way. She was always tenacious.

THIS, except Saturn hates every single planet in my chart with all of its squares and oppositions lol

I don't think I have any soft aspects with Saturn in my chart. But I guess that explains my tenacity. I feel like hard saturn aspects forces you to be tough
