How does Jupiter help with the career?

I know Jupiter technically expands whatever area it manifests in...

To give an example, Jupiter in the 10th house... would this give a successful career?
More specifically, Jupiter in Leo in the 10th House
What if Jupiter is retrograde (this changes things how)?

Jupiter in tenth house? My mom has Saturn there close to MC and has a long, successful career. This is one example of someone with a profession and Saturn near MC but it's in Cancer and it's not Jupiter. Saturn is considered a biggie like Jupiter though, can we expect similar?

Jupiter should give some sort of public success, in Leo, could mean acting, artist, management, teaching. Leos are good at taking charge so the career might involve managing others.

Retrograde means it's more challenging to use the energy, you have to work harder to get results, not as effortless.

I find the last part you said really true, if I channel my energy well and I work hard on something like for example set goals and get at it then usually I have success

Not sure what you mean by this. I have Sagittarius on the 3d house cusp... Jupiter rules Sagittarius...

My MC is in Cancer

Haha, I have a Cancer MC, too. This MC is thought to mother the world. You could have a career that requires you to care or nurture others, even some aspect of the food industry, hospitality or cheering people up.

You have quite an interesting chart, there. The Virgo moon explains it more. Yes, you could have a good idea about what you want to be doing with your life with the Cancer MC and moon in Virgo. Should be about communication or analysis with those placements, you are really sure of what you want. Your career would combine your moon in Virgo, Cancer MC, Jupiter in Leo, the planets in third. I bet you have an excellent memory and flair for details.

Now I understand more completely. This is why I admire those who have a good grasp of the details...

My Jupiter is in the 2nd House in Aries, ruled by Mars in Capricorn in 11th House. Jupiter is the ruler of my MC in Sagittarius.

What's the interpretation?

Imho , jupiter is turning retrograde around 6 months every year ..so they'll be approximately 50% of people ion this plannet born w/ jupiter Rx in natal chart . With this statistics some astrology don't think it'll make a highly impact on ones' chart just because its Rx motion.

I know plenty of people with Jupiter Rx and they're kind of the "odd ones" in society.. it's very subtle, but they usually have a vision of the world and how things "should be" that are quite.. outside the social norm.

And no, it doesn't mean they're unlucky.
Plenty of them have quite successful lives.

Jupiter in the 10th is said to be very good for reputation and social standing, including the career.

Famous or wealthy people often have it.

I've got my Jupiter (in Cancer) in the 10th, conjunct my MC (in Gemini). I can't say that my career is going particularly well thus far, but I do find that I always seem to have superiors that really like me and want to see me succeed...perhaps further down the road, as I get more settled into my career, this will lead to success, but for the moment, I'm still sort of on shaky ground. Perhaps this is perception (Chiron in 10th), or perhaps this is just a condition of coming of age in the current economic climate. We'll see.

I will say, though, that I've always been part of (toward the fringes, but still there) a "popular" crowd. So maybe that's the extent of my Jupiter in the 10th. Only time will tell!
