What indicates a heart attack in a natal chart? What about transits? I'm in a high risk group and most likely I'll have it and I wonder if it can be seen in my chart.

Good question!

Afflicted Sun (rules over the heart)?

Hmm, I have Sun conj. Saturn (wide), Uranus (wide too) and Neptune. Would you call it an affliction?

Not exactly an affliction, but with Saturn and Uranus in the mix, I guess you could expect some sort of sudden (Uranus) heart (Sun) failure (Saturn), if some violent transit supports that (like a square from Mars).

Gosh, that sounds so bad..

I mean it doesn't have to play out this way, obviously, I'm just speculating.

Are you worried about your heart?
Aren't you too young for that?

No, I don't really care to be honest. I'm just curious about the astrological explanation.

You mean a square to the Sun or the other planets?

My dad had a heart attack twice. He has a 12h Leo sun, opposed by Saturn in the 6th.

I checked out the transits during his last heart attack. Nothing really stood out, except for the sun, neptune and chiron conjunction in the 6th which very loosely conjuncts his natal saturn/opposes his sun. T.Jupiter was in the 8th too and I think that transit is an ominous one. I've seen it in a couple of death charts but thank God my Dad's very much okay today.

To the Sun.

I've just done a bit of research, using Dick Cheney's chart (the guy has had 5 heart attacks) and get this: natally, he has Sun in Aqua square Saturn in Taurus and opposite Pluto in Leo.

And (I didn't have the exact times but the years were sufficient) every time he had a heart attack, a hard planet was making a tense aspect to his Sun - turning his natal T-square into a Grand Cross.
First it happened with Uranus, then with Saturn, then with Pluto (note that they were all at the same place but at different times - in Scorpio), then again with Saturn (this time in Taurus) and lastly with Mars (in Leo, opposite his Sun and conjunct his Pluto).

Lunae,

Glad your dad is okay now.

Sun opposite Saturn - an afflicted Sun, again.

My dad has a heart disease too, It use to be REALLY bad, he would pass out in public. He had to go to the emergency room maybe 4 times in one month.
His medication has helped him a lot.

This was maybe a year ago also, maybe few years...

He's also a leo, as you know.
He has sun in the first house and it conjuncts uranus trine saturn & square moon & uranus.

He had no ominous transits during that time, so it so speak. Nothing that seemed alarming.

I'm glad our dads are okay lol.

I think for leo men heart problems can be an issue.
My uncle that's also a leo died of a heart attack...

I would worry about heart problems too but honestly my sun is really well placed/aspected.

What are the signs on the 8th cusp? Any planets reacting with them?
Also the 6th house?

Yeah.
I've come to realize that the signs/aspects to these houses actually reflect in a person's health.
My dad is a Cancer, with an Aries rising and Pisces moon. On his 6th house he has Virgo/Libra. He suffers from blood pressure issues and has high cholesterol. His father was a Leo and he died of a heart disease. My dad has to follow a strict and balanced health regiment. Always has to take his medicine on time, no matter what, and also his doctor is suggesting he takes 30 minute walks each day.
My father has Scorpio/Sagittarius on the 8th house cusp. Along with Jupiter(r) and Neptune there. And usually the 8th cusp shows theme to the death. I have Sagittarius/Capricorn on the 8th house. With Sag.in the 8th cusp, it says the person will die outside of their birth country which is most likely true for both of us since we weren't born were we live now.

An ex-boyfriend of mine died with cancer to the lungs, but that wasn't his cause of death. His signs on the 8th cusp were Gemini/Cancer. Gemini in this house can relate to health problems with the lungs or respiratory system. He was very self indulgent, and that could be seen in his 6th house Taurus/ Gemini.

Aries 8th house, empty
Aquarius 6th house, empty...my Vertex is there though

Mars in the 9th
Uranus in the 4th

I hope your ex-boyfriend was your ex-boyfriend when he died

@Cappy

Always take my word with a grain of sand/salt whatever the saying is! I don't want to be acting like an expert when I know I'm not. lol But I am really passionate about astrology and I love seeing the potential it has with relation to our life.

A lot of astrologers state that usually death of someone with a fire sign on the cusp(though, I believe Leo might be more dramatic), their deaths are rather quick and usually painless. Uranus is transiting in your in this house for you.
On a side note, is it just me or are a lot of Aries acting like Aquariuses or getting with a lot of Aquariuses?
But back to what I was saying. With Aries on the cusp you might not even know when death might come, with mars in the 9th house, it could relate to you dying on a travel somewhere or something? Or something else... I don't really know enough to really fully comprehend it.
But with Uranus, or even Aquarius on the 8th cusp, death can be like a lighting bolt. So random and quick, you wouldn't know it hit you.

Aquarius is known to rule over the blood system. Kind of funny when you think of Leo ruling the heart. There might be some issues with the blood or circulatory system. Also, with Uranus on the 4th cusp, I would suggest following yearly check ups. Family disease or health problems could really show up for you since Aquarius is in your 6th house. So try to make sure, your circulatory system is good and also your heart. And don't forget about your head and brain which Aries rules!

I have Leo on the 4th house and my dad has a Leo mercury, he has issues with his hands and I am starting to have issues as well. He had double carpel tunnel(mercury rules the nerves and hands), that was corrected with surgery. I will probably need the same surgeries later on in life.

Well, my ex-boyfriend wasn't really my ex-boyfriend when he died. He hasn't gone away altogether at least not in my heart, and not spiritually anyways.
I hope I don't sound all jumbled up >.<

I'm really sorry then

Hey, don't worry! Quick death is the kind of death I wish for myself. Would be good to have a moment to say goodbye if there was someone to say it to though.

I have such a feeling. A plane crash or car accident. Maybe I'll get a heart attack while driving?

Thanks for your insight. And stay healthy!

Doux and Kerosene, thank you! I guess Leo/afflicted sun does have something to do with it. I curious about the transits that occu though. So far, nothing haa really been significant.

Lieslilith, I'm sorry you had to go through that.
