I noticed that certain zodiac placements can run in the family, for example that all my grandfathers siblings has got either Taurus sun or moon, and so does he's son(my uncle) and i have Taurus moon and ascendant, also my mother and stepfather are both gemini, and so are all their children, and i.Coincidence? i think not, what's your thoughts on this? Hmm. The thing I find interesting is my connection with my mom. I know my birthday would also be her transits on that day,so here goes:My mom has a Libra moon, which is also my venus. I have a Pisces moon, which is my mom's venus. My Saturn conjunct her SN, my SN is on her IC. My mom told me that she was in a 50-50 state while on labor. My moon is opposite her Pluto. As for my other siblings, I have sisters who are Pisces and Libra suns, respectively. My other brother takes after my dad, who is a Leo sun. ETA: I am the only Scorpio in my family. Neither my mom/dad's sides have Scorpios in them. Weird. IP: Logged |

Yep, certain ones run in my family, too. Especially, the Libra ascendant. I have my Aunt's chart except the personal planets are all in opposite signs. I have Virgo sun/Leo Venus/Taurus moon, she has Pisces sun/Aquarius Venus/Scorpio moon. Not so sure about Mars but I think she has Saturn in Scorpio (mine's in Taurus.) Have to double check, hehe. I've read that children often are born with the same element Rising as their parent of the same sex. Works as far as I've experimented!My mother is a Virgo AC and her two daughters are Capricorn and Taurus AC.
My father is a Sagittarius ascendant and I'm a Leo ascendant. My Capricorn rising sister mentioned above has two daughters who are both Virgo risings. I don't know her partner's birthtime so I can't say for certainty about her sons. My friend is a Scorpio AC and her mother is a Cancer AC. IP: Logged |

My little sister and me have our sun int he tenth house. My older(half) sister has sun conjunct her MC through the 9th house. I think my mom has her sun in the 10th house.
My dad has his sun in the 4th house.
My little sister and I have sun/mars conjunct.
My older sister has sun/mars opposite.
Mom and little sister both have sun/mercury conjunct.
Me and my dad have Aquarius mars.
My little sister and mom have cancer moons.
My family is cardinal heavy. Also Uranus Neptune and Jupiter heavy.IP: Logged |

Not a coincidence at all.
There are articles that explain that phenomenon, pretty sure you can find them easily on the Internet.Most of my chart is made of my parent's placements, and so is my sister's. I think it's because we tend to have the same traits as our parents - the way they bring us up is reflected in their charts, and we often end up acting / thinking in a similar way, which is in turn reflected in our own charts (genetics probably play a big role in this). That's why some patterns are repeated from generation to generation, until someone breaks the cycle.

I think it is definately more than random occurances...Some very strong patterns are evident in my family, including my youngest child being the third in line for Pisces Moon(preceded by mother and myself. my grandparents are Pisces Suns).IP: Logged |

There's also been generational trends in my family! My mum and dad and their siblings all have prominent earth somehow.My neices and nephews (aka the next generation) all have air prominence. My generation is pretty mixed, but you can see the air/earth split (some are earthy, some are airy, one is both lol!). IP: Logged |

Also my half brothers have ascendants of diffrent elements so that also disproves that theory even tough i don't know their father's ascendant.

I've noticed strong heritability in my family.I could list a ton, but off-hand (without looking anything up): * My Mom and I are both Pisces with 1st house Uranus
* I have a 3rd house Aqua Moon, my oldest has an 11th House Gemini Moon
* Pisces Moons everywhere.
* This one's funny: I'm a Pisces Sun/Aqua Moon/Scorpio Asc, my sister's a Virgo Sun/Scorpio Moon/Aqua Asc.
More than one person has described us as "Just the same, but completely different."
* Cancers everywhere.
* Saggies everywhere.
* Mu husband and youngest both have Neptune conj their Moon. There's a ton more.

Interesting. My son is Pisces sun/ Virgo Moon/Libra Asc. When we (His paternal aunt and myself) first looked at his chart, we kinda laughed. I'm a virgo and his dad a libra. I know his dad's moon is taurus with possible gemini asc (birth time is somewhat unknown). My son and I have our moons and jupiters in the same house. I got a little giggle out of that too. My mom has a Sag ASC (Scorpio sun/moon). My sister and I both have jupiter trine the asc. As well as venus aspecting the asc (mine squares, her's conjuncts). In my family there are so many Capricorns and Scorpios with Sag placements and/or Cap. Next closest being mercury (geminis mostly and a few virgos).

My mom has Cancer ASC and that's my sun/moon sign.We both also have Mercury square Mars & Mars opp. Jupiter, and honestly we yell to each other almost every day. I have two brothers. One has Gemini Sun and another (Sag) has Gemini Moon.
My Sag Sun brother has Saturn in Capricorn, and that's what my dad and mum have too. Saggy also has same Mars sign as me, Scorpio. My Gemini Sun brother and my dad have both Jupiter in Aquarius. Gemini bro and my mum have same moon sign, Aquarius. Wow, I found much more common things than what I expected.

Taurus runs in the family - I'm one of the few who doesn't have any bull placements. But I do have a planet in the 2nd house. My parents have similar placements as mine. I tend to take on a little from both, which form mine. Like, my father has Mars in Aquarius, I have Mars in the 11th. Then my mother has Mars in the 6th, while I have Mars in Virgo. Dad & I both have Moon in the 4th and Sun square Pluto. Mum has Pluto in the 5th - again the square.
My mother's a Scorpio moon in the 6th, I have Moon sextile Pluto with Pluto in aspect to all three of my planets in Virgo. Both me and my mother have our chart ruler, Venus, in the 12th and our Mercury sits there as well. It's nice seeing all of those aspects show up in our charts. IP: Logged |

My cancer moon is conjunct my Grandma and my aunt's (Mum's sister) cancer moons, all conjunct my Mum's cancer sun. I find this weird.IP: Logged |
