High Self esteem in the chart--What say you?

I would say Jupiter conj the ASC, Sun or Moon

Fire placements

The Moon NOT being conjunct a hard asteroid like Dejanira

I had some other ideas too but want to hear yours.

I agree with you Ami, well aspected sun, moon or ascendant. And fire placements.

Well aspected sun conjunct ascendant or MC?

Sun/Moon conjunctions?

Sun/Mercury conjunctions?

Also, very important, sun in good aspect to moon.

A well-aspected Sun in the 5th and 10th would also do the trick.

And, a well-aspected chart ruler I wish I had that though.

i have jupiter conjunct my ascendant...even though it is retrograde, I have never had a problem with self esteem. Maybe more humble about it and quieter. My venus is in the 10th house and square jupiter and my ascendant. never really been a problem for me except that I don't mind indulging in nice things once a while.

I have Jupiter conjunct ascendant in good aspect to Venus in the tenth and my self esteem hasn't always been so great tbh...maybe I am an exception?

Or, maybe the moon has a say in it since my moon has one strong affliction?

Maybe afflictions to the moon from Neptune in particular?

Also, Saturn in tense aspect to ascendant or Venus?

These show up in my chart.

So, maybe there should be good aspects to Moon from Neptune for healthy self esteem or no aspects at all?

Venus in good aspect to Saturn or no aspects at all.

Ascending degree in good aspect to Saturn or no aspects.

i think sun square uranus because of ego.
in order to have a large ego there needs to be confidence, and that particular energy gives you the confidence and high self esteem to be the uniqueness that uranus gives.

Saturn in Aquarius Pluto in Scorpio

I have Jupiter as "culminating" star and conjunct MC by less than 1/2 degree. Jupiter is also trine my moon, asc and Mars and Sextile my Sun, Venus, Mercury, Uranus.

I feel pretty confident....when my Leo Saturn doesn't drag me down..

Sun conjunct mars? They are head strong and don't usually look around, all shy and doubting for their next move.
Any square to the ascendant would just make someone have a low self-esteem.
The sun in the 1st, 5th and 9th house all call for confidence. 3rd,7th and 11th, though social kind of hide behind something, whether it'd be friends, partners or knowledge/communication.

I have Sun conjunct Jupiter in Aries I can be extremely confident at times to almost annoying others with this extremeness but that's only when Pluto doesn't tame it down and make this extreme confidence hidden.

All I know is that Saturn & Neptune hard aspects can make someone unsure of themselves and lacking in self-confidence.

So if anything, I guess a lack of squares, oppositions and sometimes conjunctions to Saturn and Neptune in the natal chart could point to someone who doesn't have many issues with self-esteem.

Sometimes, an afflicted Moon can point to low self-esteem because the person doesn't feel safe / protected in the world and may find it difficult to be confident.

I would also look to the ruler of the 2 house too (it also rules self esteem). My second house is ruled by mercury which is conjunct my sun in the 9th

interesting. i am pretty confident. i do think i had some hiccups with self-esteem as a teenage though.

the ruler of my second house is jupiter in my 7th. my jupiter is unaspected (only biquintiles, quintiles, and a semi-sextile)

i also have sun and mercury conjunct POF and midheaven.

i have narcissus asteroid conjunct my AC by 3 from my 12th and conjunct my chart ruler pluto by 24 minutes.

i don't think i'm a narcissist but i just read about the myth being cursed to fall in love with yourself and not being able to have the object of your affection on some other LL thread.

not gona lie - my boyfriend is eerily similar to me. the main difference with our charts is he is taurus sun and i'm a leo. other than that - we both have venus in gemini 1 degree apart, taurus moon, scorpio ascendant, moon conjunct descendant (interpreted as both 6 and 7th house moon)

oh and both have narcissus conjunct our chart ruler. however, his isn't conjunct his AC. maybe that's why we like eachother so much. (just kidddding?)

My ASC is trine Jupiter, Venus, and Neptune. I'm usually good at dealing with people. Like, if I walk into a party where I don't know anyone, I just figure, "Well, I'm sure SOMEONE will want to talk to me, I'm interesting enough!" and then I just approach someone who looks nice.

Meanwhile, on another level, I am not exactly comfortable. As Doux said...

I do kind of feel like my emotions are usually invalid somehow (my Pisces moon forms a t-square with Mars and Neptune.) So when I talk to people, I often leave my emotions out of it entirely. Or I might create a kind of narrative about my feelings that doesn't exactly match how I feel inside, just to distance myself from my words and how people perceive me.

I just was looking up more on this asteroid and you had mentioned people with this conjunct their sun can have healthy self-love. I don't think I'm narcissistic in some extremely negative way. I like who I am and am happy with it. But I don't think I'm better than anyone else -- which is the difference between confidence and arrogance I believe.

Jupiter, the Sun, Mars, and the AC receiving high traffic is what I normally see in people with high self-esteem!

I have Virgo sun conjunct Jupiter in the fifth house which has leo on the cusp. Leo mars is in there too.

I have a pretty healthy self esteem.

I have very fluctuating self-esteem. I believe almost everyone with a Chiron-ASC aspect can attest to having some sort of self-esteem issues.

I alternately like and loathe my appearance. I've never loved how I've looked. Most of my self-esteem comes from me being a good writer. I'm proud of my writing and sometimes my art.

But in general, I have poor self-esteem. I'm self deprecating and rarely have ever given myself accolades. None of my accomplishments feel grand enough or what I really NEED to be successful. I'm working on it. Saturn also squares my ASC. So yeah... basically low self-esteem for Chiron- and Saturn-ASC people. :-I Guess that's a bit obvious huh.

I'd say for high self-esteem, Sun-Jupiter definitely, except not as strongly in the 12th or if the planets are afflicted by Saturn.
