Topic: Do you talk about Astrology with other people?

I was wondering, do you talk about astrology to other people? Do you tell your partner that you found the most awesome aspect between you two, that says you are "destined" to be together, or his/her chart clearly shows that your specific sign is perfect for them, etc.? Unfortunately, I don't have anyone I could share my thoughts with, discuss new things I've learned, theories. I would love to find an astrology buddy-in-crime some day  I'm a bit uncomfortable talking about astrology with my partner.
Me, shortly explaining some of our Synastry aspects: Oooohh, our Suns sext each other...Venus conj Mars...Moon sext Mercury... Asc sext Moon...Vertex opp Moon...
He *insert a big Libra smile*: Aww, that's nice, but I knew that already when I met you. Haha, so diplomatic and sweet. I don't want to force my hobby on him or anyone, so I try to keep it to myself. Sometimes he sees me reading about astrology, and I may throw something like "Hmmm, now I know why A acts like this..." and quickly explain. Same here.I don't usually talk about it unless I know the person believes in it or doesn't mind me talking about it. Oddly enough, my family knows about it, and they're okay with it. But I don't have anyone to share it with IRL. IP: Logged |

I'm single but if I had a boyfriend I wouldn't like to bother him either if he wasn't interested. I had like 2 long conversations (or rather, I tried to explain some things) with my friend about astro but he's not into it and I don't want to bore him so...I have only you guys.------------------

if people are talking about it, i will chime in and say "theres more to astrology than just sun signs...." and that usually gets some people interested. interested, but confused lol ------------------

i talk about it!! to like everyone at some point or another. obviously i talk more if they seem interested.i astrology the shhhh out of my boyfriend. i'm careful not to say that there might be fated indicators or anything, because i'm not sure if that's right to do because he wouldn't really be able to weigh everything out because he doesn't know very much. he was instantly drawn to me and has liked me since the first time he saw me. he went 8 months before seeing me again (he was a friend of a friend) and admitted he thought about me everyday. i don't think i need to tell him we are most likely in the midst of a karmic relationship - he can already tell. he wants to borrow an astrology book of mine. it might be to humor me, but whatever. i also read him about placements we have in common -- because we have a lot. and i'll talk to him about his family placements etc. i usually start people off with sending them the description of their sun/moon combo which generally peaks their interest. astrology is a prominent interest of mine/hobby/or whatever. i generally don't censor myself to people i'm close to so i wouldn't with this. maybe it's my sun in my 9th house that makes me want to share? i'm sure it's somewhere in my chart. i'm pretty charming, so i don't worry about scaring people off. and if they don't like it - bump it. i don't need to talk to someone who doesn't accept me anyways

Ooh, I have a good approach to the whole religion thing, well. . . I think I do anyway.Basically, religion is GREAT if it makes you a better person, makes you more giving, more happy, more accepting of others. If it doesn't, then like everything else that causes trouble, you need to make a change. Simple, am I right? I love people that are accepting, no matter their beliefs, it's the people that start saying "you MUST do this" that get me all shaken up. That's how I easily defend my interest in Astrology. If anything, it makes me feel more connected to everyone, like we're all dealing with the same energy in different ways and just trying to get by the best way we know how! IP: Logged |

I got my boyfriend into it! Now all he does is going around asking people what their sign is. He's pretty good at recognizing his own signs in other people as well as mine.My coworkers all know of me being into astrology. Sometimes they'll pull me over to the side and ask about their traits or their S.O.'s traits. Some like to know their moon and rising sign for fun. I don't get deep into it, though because I know they won't get it. My boyfriend is slowly learning how the rising sign, sun sign, and moon sign work. I just introduced him to mercury, Mars, and Venus. ------------------

i do with my partner, he's an aqua sun/mercury/venus so he's super open-minded and never insults my beliefs. he acts interested and never insults me. i talked about astrology so much when we first met he let me read his chart for him on our 2nd date and asked TONS of questions about himself, lol. he still listens all the time and looks at what i'm doing.and i tell other people i'm 'into it, but not the simple sun sign stuff' - if they want to more know i expand and if not, it's ok, but i don't hide it too much anymore IP: Logged |

I talk to my best friend about it and got her interested. She's still learning.My mom also knows I'm interested in astrology and I've talked about it to her (she was into it as a teen but never went behind sun signs.) I think of it like a transition! Begin slow, mention it if it's brought up, but I don't go full blown Ninth Harmonic draconic solar arc composite with transits or anything like that. Two of my past relationships were okay about astrology, one made it as far as Moon signs. But really, I feel astrology is something you have to discover for yourself to really begin to understand it. I love talking to others about it and trying to get a feel for if they'd like to continue the convo or not. I've taught more than a few acquaintances about it and some friends too. It's fun! Sometimes I can go too quickly though and it can get difficult teaching them what I've learned b/c it's so detailed. But I like it anyway, it's rewarding. IP: Logged |

I don't talk about it with the people around me because they aren't interested. I like to get their birth info and look up their charts to see what their placements are and how they relate to mine for curiosity's sake.IP: Logged |

Haha that's what I usually do. Me and my bf watched Alyssa's video last night together I was gonna do it by myself but then he asked if he could join because I happened to mention to him a loooong time ago, that we share Mars in Leo
