I recently came across this article http://www.bobmarksastrologer.com/markschart28.0.htm
- and I think it's an interesting idea. I like the idea that I can see how a relationship will affect me and another person (for romantic reasons of course ).

Has anyone ever tried these and had success interpreting them? I did a marks chart for an interest of mine and came up with some pretty crappy interpretations:

Venus conj moon in 1H = feels emotional harmony, comfort expressing emotions and admiration

merc mars square = challenge keeping promises

sun in 12H = keeps relationship a secret

8H saturn opposite 2H Jupiter = feels conflict btwn sexual desire and responsibilities

And there are also a bunch of oppositions btwn outer planets and the Moon, sun and venus. Also a vertex sun opposition.

Am I crazy for trying this technique? All I'm seeing is jumbo here.

How do you do a Marks chart?

Sounds kind of.. complicated, to me.

You can just compare the composite placements to the natal placements to see how the relationship affects both people.

Thanks for the tip Doux Reve! I'll try it and see what I come up with.

For the marks chart, Bob Marks says to do a davison of myself and the guy, then do a second davison combining his natal chart and our original davison. My biggest issue is there isn't really much information on how to interpret them other than saying that Davison is what happens in the relationship.

I guess I always just see tons of oppositions and inconjuncts and think that it's game over for the two of us, but he always keeps the relationship moving forward even though he's committed already. I'm just sorta waiting it out.

You're welcome.

Ah, I see now.
Well, I don't think I can do that on astro.com.
Cause Davison charts don't have a real place, their coordinates are calculated hypothetically.

But maybe that method does work.. who knows.

Oh, I see what you mean about astro.com. I just created a new "person" for the chart and named it Davison Chart and put in the midpointed "birthday" of the Davison chart.
