What aspects do you think would make someone a good fit/able to handle that kind of relationship? IP: Logged |

Venus-Pluto or Venus-Saturn (harmonious aspects); fixed signs. Makes it so they can kinda stay faithful even if the spouse is gone a long time. IP: Logged |

Nevermind, I got it. Martian qualities would fit their "type" in picking a marriage partner.

This would be someone who spends a lot of time away from their partner, might struggle financially and be responsible for any children part of the time, until their spouse gets back. Strongly placed Saturn, good aspects from Saturn to Sun, moon, Venus, Mars, Uranus in aspect to Sun, moon, Venus or Mars. Squares, oppositions, conjunctions would spell same except more strife when confronting the realities of being a military spouse, more conflicts can arise. If they are together, it would need to be someone who likes to travel, feels comfortable in new places. Sagittarius planets/ninth house, Mars in Capricorn. Venus in an air or fire sign? Sun/Moon in Sagittarius. Might even be twelfth house planets because they can mean moving overseas and are associated with financial losses due to this but it's forced in some way, like an exile. Hmm, interesting
I've always wondered about this kind of relationship, for me personally I COULD NOT do it... no if, ands, or buts. Even though I like space, being apart months at a time would make me extremely lonely (on top of the worry I'd already have on their safety.) I told my mom I'd never marry a policeman, firefighter, or someone in the military lol. My uncle was in the military (married into the family but they're divorced now) and now my cousin has decided to join too. We were talking yesterday about her and her bf (who she's thinking of letting go) and I just thought to ask about the astrology side to military relationships.

I am with someone in the military not married, but faithful to him. Aries Sun house 11 Scorpio Moon house 6 Taurus Mercury house 12 Pisces Venus house 10 Aquarius Mars house 10 Sag DC (that house is empty) 7 Capricorn Saturn house 9 some of my aspects are Venus trine Jupiter Pluto conjunct Moon Saturn Square Sun Saturn sextile Moon Uranus conjuct Neptune I often have luck with getting to see him every couple of months but sometimes it can challenging too. In the past I'd have met dudes about to join, or on leave. And I was so turned off by their attitudes! That all changed when I met my guy. I never thought I would like one, and trust one, and take them seriously. If someones worth it, they are worth it. IP: Logged |

^ Wow. I have your typical "military spouse" chart but I don't think I could handle it.

Wow, I have almost the same placements...My Ascendant is in Virgo, though (so my house placements are obviously different), and my Moon in Sag. That's so funny. I'm not sure that I could date a guy in the military. I definitely like the macho, type-A thing that one often stereotypically attributes to those types, but I'm not good with long distance. I like my space (a lot), but without somewhat consistent contact, I'll move on after a time. ------------------ Sun -> Aries Moon -> Sagittarius Ascendant -> Virgo IP: Logged |

Aries/Libra tend to do well in the military so maybe this goes for spouses, or S.O.s as well? IP: Logged |

My cousin whos going into the military is an aries sun/mercury taurus moon/venus and pisces mars She has moon opposite pluto and pluto trine mars (I swear everyone in my family has a hard aspect to pluto to their sun/moon/mars except me :0) My aunt and my mom (twins) both have aries moon & sun square pluto I know for sure my mom has taurus dsc but it's at the end of the sign and my aunt was born 10mins later so she *might* have a gemini desc. They seem to attract military men alot (my mom used to work in a senior living place and the older guys who served loved her) I guess it's a martian aries/ plutonian thing as far as attraction to those types?
