Topic: how have you learnt from your tough placements?

i really believe in free will and our ability to use our harsher placements either to destroy oneself or to learn so how have you learnt from your harsher placements?saturn square venus is like a non stop lesson - i have a reasonably nice mars but my venus is BEATEN UP by this very tight square to saturn plus semi square sun square north node- its just a beaten and bruised venus! but its taught me how hard i have to work to be cooperative- im naturally i guess a loner like at work i hate having to talk to people i dont know - i like the people i like but i dont like having people come up to me non stop with pointless chatter- but i live in england where people are friendly and like pointless chat about the weather! to me it is shallow but now i have learnt to just be a bit kinder and softer, or rather i am learning that- plus how to give and take and cooperate and all those things... moon square neptune- nope i find this is so ingrained in me to be dreamy- not sure i want to conquer it so much as understand it... your turn! Wow I have Venus square Saturn too and NEVER considered the Libran challenge of cooperation. I have Venus in Aries which seems to double the challenge. I think Venus squared Saturn tempered what would've been an otherwise reckless placement. I'm picky, and I have better standards (at a younger age, but now it's becoming an obstacle again because they need to shift) than girls in my age group.IP: Logged |

yah its all interlinked- i think if you want love in your life you need to think of all the things surroundig venus as love cant exist in a vacuum - you need to be able to draw a man in (venus) but past that you need to cooperate with him get on with his family etc- venus rules more than just love and pleasure and i think when you deal with other areas of venus you benefit from the more interesting sides  im curious about the idea of venus square saturn blocking money since venus rules taurus which is money self esteem and possessions- personally im not sure how much it does block money i think that would be more pluto square saturn or something like that but im still curious what others think? but yes alot of aspects venus rules affect love directly or indirectly- self esteem issues will affect love in the long term, money issues will, not getting on with other people (his family or friends perhaps), not being able to live in harmony with others etc. i have venus conjunct mars and like i said a strong mars and strong neptune which is the higher octave of venus but less earthy love more spiritual- i also have a trine between mars and neptune which helps but i feel like to truly bond (venus) i can only do it through sex (mars) since they are conjunct and that is the only positive aspect venus has in my chart (even though its a wide conjunction tbh) one question i have is that both mars and venus are considered the planets relating to sex how are they different then i think of venus as more pleasure in general and bonding and harmony and possessions and beauty whereas mars is more desire action etc but ive also read venus is linked to sex too so im confused??? is it a slightly different aspect of sex to mars then or what? well hannaramai think if i remember your posts you are quite like you come on strong so saturn kind of blocks you from getting into trouble- this of venus as being what attracts and then bonds- so venus is like a beautiful flower- it does not force itself in someones face to attract them- the flower never chases the bee! if the flower wants the bees attention it merely makes a stronger perfume or blossoms yet more and then waits... and welcomes whatever bees come to enjoy its scent- that is kind of how i see venus so for me with venus in aquarius that is slightly easier as its a less ''hot'' placement for venus, more cooperative and passive whereas your venus in aries well aries is cardinal and that demands action in love. maybe you can find a way to balance being active in love which you seem to need with i dunno cooperatin and listening to your intuition a bit more to find what will work and what will not in love- im sure you would be perfect for a slightly shy guy to help bring him out of his shell! but gently! eta - i actually struggle with his because i want to choose which bee i attract! i feel like if i dont repel in some way (through unfriendliness mostly- im never rude to guys that come up to me) then ill be inundated and that makes me nervous- i want a say in who comes up to me damnit- i dont know how to make that work though- it seems like some friends i know who are attractive and friendly seem to spend alot of time talking to people that they are not really that interested in for the sake of niceness haha- i just cant do that!
