Did you experience this when you first met your partner, like you were old mates - easy, fluid, familiar? Then, surprisingly, this sense of ease and familiarity doesn't dissipate.

SN aspects are meant to indicate renewing of past relationships. We have one - my Asc squares his SN - which hardly seems to explain it. Our Asc conjunct Sun DW may be a better indicator (?).

What was it for you?

The IC is a very private place in our charts. When someone activates my IC and vice versa, this is how I feel. A feeling of being ''at home'' with the person even if they irritate or anger me.

I would rather go with Sun conj Asc.

Other aspects were Sun conj Venus in composite (for the overall affinity) and yeah Nodal aspects but conjunctions.

I have very similar feelings with one of my best friends. I'm not a big believer on old mates or past relationships tho, but there was definitely feeling of familiarity and ease since day one. We never shut up when talking either lol.

I'm thinking that the sun conjunct ASC DW might be one of it. With my friend, his ASC squares my NN and sun conjunct my DSC. Then there's asc conjuct dsc (or asc opp asc. I'm not sure how to say that haha. kinda goes both ways I guess). There's also the Sun-jupiter sextile DW that I think gives the feeling ease in my case (exact one way, 1 degree the other). Do you have any sun-jupiter aspects?

I'm looking at the synastry that I have with that person and these are some of the placements/aspects:

Moon trine Moon
Moon trine Venus both ways
Mercury trine Venus both ways
Venus trine Jupiter
Moon and Venus conjunct my DC

In the composite we had:

Sun, Mercury and Venus conjunction (love stellium)
Love stellium trine Pluto
Love stellium trine Moon and Saturn conjuncton

Mercury.

I know, I know - not really a typical response to this question but it helps alot to feel a sense of ease with each other if you have Mercury in the same sign or compatible signs; the relationships where it always felt like there were blocks up or like feeling comfortable with him was difficult, there was always a hard aspect in the synastry, between the Mercuries.

The bad aspects outweighed the good in the end! Each others Mercury's square and opposition the others Mars's was definitely the main problem.

In the composite the Moon and Saturn conjunction was also trine Pluto BUT the love stellium was in opposition to Uranus and Neptune!

Looking at the responses above, we do have other similar aspects which would add to the general feeling of familarity and ease.

Moons conjunct - (this is a biggie, I'm told)
Mercury trine Sun, sextile Moon

These are more relevant perhaps than the wide Jupiter conjunct Sun that we have.

Also Composite - Moon trine Venus

All in all a good way to start, which should help us to work our way through squares.
