If you only knew my dad...(and my mom...) quote: Originally posted by Textbook: What you say and do with whoever you're with behind doors maybe I wouldn't do or even find it repulsive (probably), but I totally respect your right to do it.
Just to be clear (and because there are so many insecure people on LL who assume everything is a personal attack, or even NOT saying anything is an attack) I was asking out of curiosity because how the human mind work fascinates me and I tend to examine my own inclinations and why I may have them (astrological and otherwise) in an attempt to both understand and become more lucid in my thinking, and so it seems natural to think that plenty of others do as well (though I later recalled I'm rare that way). I've come up with plenty of theories in the meantime myself. And I also recalled how popular Hey Daddy was a few years ago: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pD8mxge6kek IP: Logged |

I mean, sure there is the debate on sexual maturity and I'm sure we could find many anomalies anyway but why is it that because any of you dislike it, it's the "incorrect" way to be? Hm. . .
If you don't understand what's going on, then research it. Look at credible studies, not just opinionated sources for or against it on the internet. You will find the consensus is teens should not date people too much older, bad for their psychological well being and would probably be better off not seriously dating much at all. They are too young and immature. They don't know what they want in life. Their CNS is still developing. It's a time for them to prepare for the demands of life as an adult. In a few years, they will need to find employment, live on their own. It's much better for them to have a strong sense of their own identity and worth/ not rely on another person for this. Just imagine if we lived in a world where everyone had a sense of who they are/self worth and what they can contribute by the time they are eighteen, so they can go out, find work, be productive, contribute to society in a beneficial way. A lot of these social problems people always complain about would be minimized. Seems like the problems stem from non productivity, for the most part. People need to learn to be productive early on. It's for their own good. Their lives are much easier this way. IP: Logged |
