For placements
4th house rules comfort

2nd house, rules the throat.

6th house rules health too.

I would look at those houses.

Aspects by the moon, I would imagine.

I love to cook.I am a Cancer Moon and Mars. Cancer is the cooking sign, as well as 4th house placements.

Yes Gordon Ramsey is a Scorpio/Virgo combo.

A friend of mine is a vegan chef/apprentice and she has Scorpio Stellium (Sun/Mercury/Venus/Jupiter/Pluto/NN) with a Taurus Moon, Virgo asc, Leo mars, empty 2nd & 4th house, 3rd house stellium. I suppose because being a chef involves having a certain kind of dexterity that's were the mercury influence comes in handy.

Sun-Moon opposition exact
Mars sq Moon
Mercury conjunct Venus

I have 3 friends who are pretty good cooks.

One is a Scorpio sun/Cancer moon, in the 10th/7th house. She has a Virgo venus in the 8th. She's pretty versatile with main dishes and appetizers.

The other is a Cancer sun/Scorpio moon. She's an all-round chef but specializes in being a Patissier.

The last is a Capricorn sun/Aquarius moon. He just has the born talent. He just started learning cooking fairly recently and boy, he's got some skill!

Omfg I was waiting for someone to name Mars in Cancer cuz that's the stereotypical placement that always gets brought up in connection with cooking and home-making.

I remember once an amateur astrologer (by that I mean someone who isn't a professional) suggested that I go into cooking as a career and I looked at them like they had two heads. I don't even LIKE to cook; I do it when I absolutely have to.

I will admit though that the idea of being able to build stuff, or build your own house, has always seemed really cool to me and I've always kinda been in awe of people who know their way around tools and can build stuff on their own. Especially if they're FEMALE.

Hey, I can add to this, sez this introvert. I will speak from my experience and then put down what is in my chart. There are various planetary placements that can show a love of cooking.

When I was a young lass at 15, I decided that I wanted to become a cook. In high school, I took cooking classes for grades 10, 11 and 12 and made it on the honor role. After that I went to a technical school and took a two year professional cooking program. I cooked for a few years and sadly discovered that it was not a match for me - cause the kitchen was too high paced for me.

So what do I have in my chart that would show cooking? Without astrology, I could say genetics and family career cause my "adopted" mother was a cook in the Canadian Army and traveled around Canada.

I have a Moon in Cancer with the 2nd and 3rd houses in Cancer as well. The moon straddles both the 2nd and 3rd house. A cusp planet really. I would say in my chart it could be a strong Cancerian influence and maybe a Sun in Aries cause Aries can be awesome cooks.

Mom was a Taurus with an Aqua Moon. She just cooked the basics and worked in nursing home and only did institutional cooking.I don't think she ever did any short order work in a regular restaurant.

Actually, my last job was working at an agency that provided homes and services for the developmentally disabled. First position there was relief staff and then I went into housekeeping. I cooked for ten people and ordered the food. I had to work with special diets and different food preparations for clients. Maybe factor in a 6th house Jupiter/Neptune. Mercury in the 12th to work with people who are nonverbal.

The awesome chefs out there that I enjoy, I'm not sure if they have any Cancer influences and I'm not sure what in their charts show cooking. I loved watching Emeril, The Naked Chef Jamie Oliver, Cat Cora, Lynn Crawford and a few others too.
