WOW! I have to say that this is one of the better synastry comparisons I’ve seen. Very nice.

Here’s my take…

I especially love her Gem Asc & Moon /Sag Venus opposition aspecting your Aquarius Moon. Both of you need openness and communication to feel secure and you are able to meet each others needs in this way. It shows there is an natural affectionate/emotional rapport between you. It’s awesome. Moon trine Moon means you naturally feel safe and ‘at home’ with each other. Living together shouldn’t too difficult. Her Venus included means that she feels very warmly and sweetly towards you. However her Pluto in Scorpio does square your Moon. This is an intense aspect which shows she has a knack for trying to influence you to do things her way and is slightly emotionally controlling (which you may or may not enjoy. It‘s not the end of the world, it‘s just good to have an awareness that this dynamic exists). It also shows that you have mesmerizing effect on each other, and that you feel passionately and deeply for each other. Her Pluto is also trine your Mercury which means that the two of you should be able to talk out your deeper issues whatever the case may be.

One thing I do look for in synastry comparisons that is not romantic but is also ’key’ is evidence of a good mental rapport. Both of your Mercurys are aspecting in this comparison which is a good sign. Your Pisces Mercury is sextile her Cap Sun and her Cap Mercury is sextile your Scorpio Neptune. She seems to be able to mentally tap into your dreams and fantasies, and two of you can go off into your own little world sometimes. Your Mercury sextile her Sun means that you find her very interesting, and generally are able to make her feel good/secure with the way you express yourself. There is a natural banter here that flows. Your Mercury is square her Venus/Moon/Asc opposition which means there can be occasional bickering here and there, but this is nothing major.

Another thing I also like to do is look at synastry related to the astrological houses, and house cusp rulers in people’s charts.

Before I go into detail, I’ll give an outline of what I look for.

IDENTIFYING YOUR ROMANTIC ‘TYPE’ AND RELATIONSHIP PRIORITIES…

For identifying someone’s romantic type and relationship style when looking at the natal chart first I check the OBVIOUS things… (Note: Later I‘ll go on to discuss what I‘ve observed as the hidden indicators of attraction)… This Starts with the three houses most strongly associated with relationships in astrology… The 5th, 7th , and 8th houses. The signs of the cusps of these houses, the condition of the house rulers by sign, house, and aspect, and any planets located within these houses, describe the characteristics of our romantic ‘type‘. Now, within three houses, you can pull out a lot of information, but usually the partners people choose will fit all three of these houses in various different ways…. Through their personality temperament, their private interests, their relationship tendencies, and even their family background and career choices. These three houses are able to give quite a detailed picture of the type of partner we’ll end up with. These houses also describe what qualities we look for as part of the relationship…. Do we like to keep things light and humorous in a certain area? Or do have a serious ‘lets get down to business’ attitude? Or a sentimental nurturing tone? Each of these houses represents a different area of the relationship, and has it‘s own particular focus… The signs and planets associated with each of these houses also reveal our attitude towards that area of the relationship…

From an astrological perspective, the 5th house is the ROMANCE/COURTSHIP period of the relationship, where we fall in love, and observe how special and unique the other person is.

The 7th house is the MARRIAGE/COMMITMENT period of the relationship, where we relate as individuals, exchange appreciation, and make agreements…

And the 8th house is the CONSUMATION/MERGING OF RESCOURCES period of the relationship, where after the being ‘united as one‘ officially, we become interdependent on each other through the sharing of ourselves and our stuff.

THE 5TH HOUSE…
The 5th house cusp and ruler, plus planets in the 5th … Show who is romantically exciting to you, who impresses you, and who is the ’Apple of our Eye’. This house is the one in charge of romantic sparks, infatuation, adoration, and the epic saga of your personal love story… With a certain special someone.

THE 7TH HOUSE…
The 7th house cusp and ruler, plus planets in the 7th house…Show who gives you feelings of sweet affection, warmth, established acceptance, and completion…. As if they offer you what you ‘need’ in a partner. The 7th house is not always exciting like the 5th house, rather it represents who you LIKE, and want relate to as a partner and friend in your daily existence.

THE 8TH HOUSE…
And last but not least, the 8th house cusp and ruler, plus planets in the 8th… Show who attracts you in an intriguing, magnetic type of way… Here you want to figure the other person out, and merge with them in the most deep, intimate way possible. This house is where we share ourselves, and what we have to offer, with another physically, emotionally, and financially… to the point where our lives are inextricably intertwined.

(Note: for all of these houses also take into account the sign next along after the cusp sign, if a large part of that sign falls into the 5th, 7th or 8th house.)

Okay, now for Successor123’s house synastry.

*When looking at her planets and your houses…

One of the first things I noticed is that her Jupiter in Virgo is exactly conjunct your 5th house cusp of Romance at 14 Virgo. And that your 5th house ruler Mercury in Pisces is sextile to her Capricorn Sun. This means that she brings a lot of joy into your world, and you naturally feel positive and happy when she is around. With your 5th house ruler sextiling her Sun, the way she expresses herself (her energy and radiance) impresses you. Both of these things about her would inspire your romantic feelings towards her.

Your 7th house of commitment is Sagittarius, and her Venus in Sagittarius falls into your 7th house. This means that the way she relates and expresses her affection makes her feel like an ideal mate for you. This is a good sign for marriage. Especially since her Venus also aspects your Moon with a nice comforting sextile, and aspects your Uranus with a rather facinating sort of trine.

Your 8th house of intimacy starts at the end of Sagittarius and spans most of Capricorn. Her Capricorn Mars falls into your 8th house, and increases the depth of passionate attraction between the two of you. This side of your attraction is very strong due to the fact that her Mars also trines your Pluto and sextiles your Sun. Her Mercury in your 8th house shows that the two of you should easily be able to communicate well about private matters, just between the two of you, and that the sound of her voice is probably quite attractive to you (her Uranus and Neptune are also in your 8th house. Although these are outer planets, they do give something of an indication that her unpredictable/innovative and dreamy/imaginative sides have an intimate attractive pull for you as well). Your own Saturn in your 8th house adds an even stronger attraction to her Capricorn planets (Sun, Mercury, Mars, Uranus, and Neptune) on a symbolic level. And your own Jupiter in your 8th house attracts you even further symbolically to her Sagittarius Venus.

*When looking at her houses and your planets…

Her 5th house cusp is 16 Libra ruled by her Venus in Sagittarius. As mentioned before her Venus is sextile to your Moon in Aquarius, trine your Uranus in Leo, and falls into your 7th house. So then, her 5th house ruler (Venus) in your 7th house, aspecting your Moon and Uranus, indicates that she and adores your emotional/vulnerable side, and that she finds you exciting and fun. It also indicates that she sees a commitment with you as an positive prospect. Her romantic side is stimulated by your Uranus and Moon, and she is likely impressed by these sides of you.

Her 7th house is Sagittarius ruled by her Jupiter in Virgo. Again. I see another 7th house/5th house interconnection… A mixture of feeling in-love and genuine liking and commitment, if you will. Her 7th house ruler Jupiter in Virgo is conjunct your 5th house cusp exactly, and trine to your Capricorn Saturn. She likely feels that you are able to provide the commitment and loyalty that she craves in a relationship, as well as genuine feelings of love. Your Jupiter in Sagittarius is in her 7th house, which again reinforces the feelings of joy and positivity surrounding your union. Her own Uranus in her 7th house adds an attraction to your Aquarius Moon, and her own Mercury in her 7th house attracts her to your Gemini Asc on a symbolic level. She also has Mars in the 7th house... You have no Aries planets for a symbolic match, but you do aspect her Mars strongly with your Sun and Pluto, bringing this side of her relationship needs (the need to express her Mars in relationships) something to work with. She likely really enjoys how strongly you aspect her Mars.

More on her 7th house: Her 7th house ruler is Jupiter in Virgo, and while you have no planets in Virgo (apart from the North Node) it's interesting to note that her Jupiter tightly trines her Neptune/Uranus conjunction. These relate symbolically to the signs Pisces and Aquarius... And you are a Pisces Sun & Mercury with Aquarius Moon, Venus, and Mars. Aspects to the 7th house ruler are important in our taste too!

Yes, there’s more. And again before the synastry part, I’ll discuss the astro theory behind what I’ve observed to be the ‘hidden indicators of attraction’ when it comes to house related synastry.

THE HIDDEN INDICATORS OF ATTRACTION…

After looking the obvious indicators of romantic attraction, as is shown directly by the 5th ,7th and 8th houses, I’ll start examining the HIDDEN INDICATORS OF ATTACTION in the person’s chart…

Our SECONDARY 5th, 7th and 8th house cusps…

Just as we all have the PRIMARY 5th , 7th and 8th house cusps in our chart, which we all know about, there are also other houses in our chart which function as secondary versions of these houses. A backup, if you will, that provides extra information about our tastes in that area of life… These ‘backup’ houses are called SECONDARY HOUSES, and I’ve found, they can be amazingly revealing in terms of our romantic tastes when scrutinizing the secondary 5th, 7th and 8th house cusps and rulers…

I’ll continue to explain this using the Dsc as an example. But remember that EVERY house in your chart (including the 5th and the 8th ) has another secondary house that functions in a supplementary way regarding the theme that house.

Here’s how it works… (Using the Dsc as an example)

Every sign in the zodiac is naturally linked (on a symbolic level) to a certain house cusp in our chart… Aries is linked to the 1st house, Taurus is linked to the 2nd house, Gemini is linked to the 3rd house, Cancer is linked to the 4th house, and so on….

So if you want to know which of the house cusps in your chart are symbolically linked to your Dsc… look at the sign of the 7th house cusp (our PRIMARY 7th house), and then find the house in your chart that is symbolically linked to your Dsc cusp sign. For example, if you have a Pisces DSC look at the 12th house. In the case of a Pisces Dsc, the 12 house will revel supplementary information about who you are attracted to, and who you have chemistry with. Also look at planets in the 12th, the sign of 12th house ruler, and how this ruler is aspected. In another example, if you have an Aquarius Dsc look at your natal 11th house for extra clues on what you like in partnership. For a Capricorn Dsc look to the 10th house. For a Virgo Dsc look at the 6th house. For an Aries Dsc look at the 1st house, and so on through the zodiac….

The house symbolically linked to the DSC sign is the ‘SECONDARY DSC’ and it can function as an extension of the 7th house….. In terms of what you attract, what type of partnership experiences you have, and what you look for in a partner…. It’s like the secondary Dsc is an ECHO of the primary or original natal 7th house…. The first time an echo bounces it is the clearest and the loudest…. And this echo is shown by the house symbolically linked to the sign on 7th house cusp…

Looking at it in another way… People with an Aries Dsc look for others who ‘energize’ their personality and self assertion…. So when a partner places planets in Libra or Scorpio in this persons 1st house, it will feel like natural partnership material for them. Same thing for people with a Gemini Dsc… They look for those who will energize them in the area of communication…. So when people put planets in this person’s 3rd house of communication, it also brings to the fore issues of partnership… And for people with a Sagittarius Dsc, they look for others that they can share their beliefs with, and explore with, both mentally and physically… So when people put planets into this person’s 9th house it inspires them to want to join forces with this person… And as you can guess it continues like this on through the zodiac using Dsc signs…

FOR ANYONE STILL CONFUSED ABOUT LOCATING THE ‘SECONDARY DSC’…

Here’s a list of the house cusps to look to as an extension of your DSC for each rising sign. These house cusps are symbolically linked to the sign on your DSC… showing what other traits you are attracted to in others, apart from just what the DSC alone shows.

Aries rising, Libra DSC… The 7th House has double importance.

Taurus rising, Scorpio DSC… Look to the 8th House.

Gemini rising, Sagittarius DSC… Look to the 9th House

Cancer rising, Capricorn DSC… Look to the 10th House

Leo rising, Aquarius DSC… Look to the 11th House

Virgo rising, Pisces DSC… Look to the 12th House

Libra rising, Aries DSC… Look to the 1st House

Scorpio rising, Taurus DSC… Look to the 2nd House

Sagittarius rising, Gemini DSC… Look to the 3rd House

Capricorn rising, Cancer DSC… Look to the 4th House

Aquarius rising, Leo DSC… Look to the 5th House

Pisces rising, Virgo DSC… Look to the 6th House

Can you see the pattern now?

Celebrity examples…

Ryan Reynolds has late Virgo rising, with a Pisces Dsc. His secondary 7th house is the 12th house. So he’s attracted to Pisces and 12th house energy in his love life. He married Blake Lively who has a stellium in early Virgo (Sun, Mercury, Venus, Mars, and possibly the Moon) all falling into Ryan’s 12th house… Blake’s Asc is unknown, so we can only guess as to why she was attracted to Ryan.

Angelina Jolie has her planets falling in Brad Pitt’s primary 5th 7th and 8th houses. Brad has Sagittarius rising with Gemini on the 7th house cusp, Aries on the 5th house cusp, and Cancer on the 8th house cusp. Angelina has Sun/Mercury in Gemini, Moon/Mars in Aries, and Venus in Cancer. From Angelina’s side, she has Capricorn on her Dsc. This matches Pitt’s Capricorn Moon/Venus energy, but not his Sagittarius Sun… Well, Angelina’s secondary Dsc is her 10th house cusp. She likes 10th house energy in her love life because of her Capricorn Dsc. Angelina has Jupiter in Aries conjunct her Mc… And Brad is a Sag Asc/Sun ruled by his Jupiter also in Aries…

Now for Successor123’s synastry…

Okay your 7th house is Sagittarius… Sagittarius rules the 9th house… That means that for you the 9th house shows extra details about what type of partner you look for. You guessed it! Your 9th house falls at 20 Capricorn and you lady has her Sun at 26 Capricorn in your 9th house. You see both her Sag Venus in your primary 7th house, and her Capricorn Sun in your 9th house as indicators that she is a suitable partner for you. She is your ’type’ in terms of what you look for in relationships.

Interestingly, you also have the late Sagittarius (27 degrees) on the 8th house cusp… So the 9th house for you shows a combination commitment and intimacy energies for you.

She is a Gemini Asc with Sagittarius on the Dsc as well… Sagittarius rules the 9th house… That means that for her too the 9th house shows extra details about the type of partner she looks for. Her 9th house cusp falls at 13 Aquarius and goes on till 13 Pisces. Both your Moon at 23 Aquarius and your Sun at 6 Pisces fall into her 9th house. Bingo again! This indicates that your Aquarius/Pisces traits are attractive to her, and are part of why she sees you as a good partner for her.

Her 8th house is Capricorn… Capricorn rules the 10th house… Her 10th house cusp is 13 Pisces. No relationship is perfect (actually it’s almost astrologically impossible to have perfect synastry), but overall your synastry is pretty good. If you’re going to take the plunge things look promising for the most part.
