I disagree. The nature of your work mainly depends on the condition of your 6th, I think. With Uranus in the 10th, it could mean that you change jobs often, maybe because you get bored of doing the same thing, or because of external conditions. It can also indicate that you move away from your natal place (opposition to the 4th) or that there was some disruption in the home when you were growing up (maybe a parent left, or you moved out, and so on). But mainly I think it affects your career and maybe social "persona" - you may appear very independent, original, a free thinker, and quite rebellious.

@TextbookYeah. Uranus in 10th house Scorp. 10th house Libra. @Doux ''The nature of your work mainly depends on the condition of your 6th, I think'' What if the 6th house ruler (Gemini--mercury in the 7th house) squares Uranus. Moon in 6th house trine uranus. I think my 6th house ruler is afflicted :/ ''With Uranus in the 10th, it could mean that you change jobs often, maybe because you get bored of doing the same thing, or because of external conditions.'' I do get bored doing the same things. What kind of transits trigger a change in jobs? ''It can also indicate that you move away from your natal place (opposition to the 4th) or that there was some disruption in the home when you were growing up (maybe a parent left, or you moved out, and so on).'' So this placement may indicate a career abroad? Can it indicate both? that is moving away from my natal place therefore breaking away from the manacles of the 4th house and disruption in the family while growing up? I had lots of that when I was growing up. Things have settled since. IP: Logged |

I think this one actually reflects the fact that you get bored (Gemini) of the same job (ruler of 6th plus square Uranus in the 10th). So there's a need for variety and mental stimulation in your work. quote: Moon in 6th house trine uranus.
Being inspired at work, being emotional at work, working with women who may be odd.. plenty of possibilities. quote: What kind of transits trigger a change in jobs?
I don't know, but I guess anything making an aspect to your MC or MC ruler could do. quote: So this placement may indicate a career abroad?
Definitely. quote: Can it indicate both? that is moving away from my natal place therefore breaking away from the manacles of the 4th house and disruption in the family while growing up?
Yes.

You know what is my perfect job?-I am my own boss. - Being able to visit different places of the world, not really sticking to a schedule ( I hate schedules even if am very good at respecting them) - - In that article, the 4th house residual effect sounds about right for me. I didn't know Uranus affects my 4th house too. Moon is the natural 4th house ruler, she is my 7th house ruler in my chart and she trines uranus,so kinda make sense. I was only thinking about career when I posted this thread but I can see how my 4th,7th,10th,and 1st houses/house rulers are interconnected. IP: Logged |

Yes, astrology is amazing like that. Everything is pretty much connected, we just have a hard time seeing it.

Uranus is about breakthroughs, science and the unconvential. It's Frank Sinatra's 'I did it my way'. Having it in the 10th house means you might a public figure or a chaotic CEO or leader, like the genius surrounded by a team, but it does not have to be so. You may simply be original in your approach to public achievements. IP: Logged |

I have it conjunct the MC. My career is very different from my family (I chose visual arts and work with art galleries and museums, they are doctors). They worry about security, about my future = It opposes Jupiter in the 4th. I deal with eccentric people everyday and I go to one job to the other. I'm still young but my longest job lasted only 2 and half years. I cannot stand authority figures and that is troubling. I thrive for work security (SATURN conjunct MC), but Uranus just wont give me that! IP: Logged |
