I read somewhere that for men, mars and sun are most important (in relationships), whereas for women, venus and moon. So if for eg. a guy has venus in gemini and mars in cancer, I should kind of ignore venus or what? I know, I could figure it out myself but the thing is that I got taurus in sun, moon, ven and virgo and mars so you know, pure earth going on haha, so it's pretty hard for me to figure out people who have mixed signs in their planets, anyway, just give me Your thoughts on what's more important in reading a guy's chart (especially the relationship potential/capacity). Every planet is important, but it's traditionally said that men act more like their Sun and Mars placements whereas women act more like their Moon and Venus placements (the ASC is prominent in both men and women).And, conversely, a man is attracted to his Moon and Venus placements (and DSC), and a woman is attracted to her Sun and Mars placements (and DSC) (if they are heterosexual). There is another way to interpret planets of course, for instance Venus shows the way we act in a social setting, how we attract people or "seduce" them. Mars shows the way we go after things / people, how we achieve our goals, our energy levels, sexuality, assertiveness / aggressiveness. So if you want to know more about the specifics of attraction between you and a man, look at how he fits (or not) your masculine "ideal" - if your Sun and Mars are reflected in his chart; and to know if you're his type - look at his Venus and Moon and see if you have that same energy in your chart (the DSC also plays a role in this of course).
