Cancers I know would do anything for their family and friends. And a Virgo I know told me his biggest fantasy was to save everyone in the world by sacrificing himself.

These are very general depictions of sun signs but let's use the scenario of losing your job.

I'd say a Cancer would take you to dinner or just talk with you on the phone and allow you to vent/cry. They'd be more mothering or nurturing. Maybe surprise you with a coffee date out of the house.

Virgo sun - totally not offended.

I am caring and I do try to always help... probably to the point of coming across as being harsh, critical, and pushy. I can see that.

I do mean well, so when people get upset I really just shrug it off. I used to get all sad but now I'm like, "well, if you don't want my help then oh well, it's your loss" and I go on about my day. I'm too busy to fret over someone else's problems when they don't want my help... ya know?

Virgo people are challenged with balance, I think. I seem to fluctuate between so nice I am a doormat to being so snobby/sanctimonious that I even shock myself.

Finding a middle ground is hard for me. And then when I've done something that comes across mean, I over compensate with nice to the point of super awkward. And sometimes, I just say things that are never meant to sound rude it just comes out that way and then I get embarrassed... ugh.

Even if I strongly dislike someone, I never aim to hurt them. It actually hurts me to hurt people.

Cancer is sentimental and navigates by their feelings. If they care about you, they'll naturally want to help you in a time of need. Cancer can be a bit more nurturing and babying.
