I have a serious shopping addiction, and I'm afraid it may lead to hoarding when I'm older. I was given $500 for the MONTH and spent it all within 24 HOURS. :'( What placements lead to shopping addictions? My addiction is tearing me apart.

I have an empty second house that starts in Virgo.

My eighth house is empty except for Lilith and Vesta, and my eighth house starts in Pisces.

I've had this problem since I was little.

What's your Mercury doing? Mercury is the ruler of your second house so maybe it has a square to Jupiter or something.

I have venus square jupiter, I love shopping as much as the next diva but I pay my own rent, care insurance, and electric bill.

I have Venus/Jupiter parallel and I can go through money easily...depends what kinda money though! If I was given $500 for no reason and I didn't need it for something, then I'd probably spend it fast. But if it was like a paycheck and I had bills to pay...

I just add it to the list of things that make me so infatuous.

Aquarius Moon: frivolous, has light flighty emotions
Mars/Jupiter square: amorous, wants to spread the luuuuv
Venus/Jupiter parallel: can maintain multiple crushes

But then you have the sort of anti-infatuation team...

H7 Saturn: romantic relationships are few and tend to happen over time
Venus/Moon square: likes different things at different times, leading to finicky/difficult behaviour

I do not like shopping actually. But I do spend money on things that I want to possess.Why don't we live in a world where we could buy things with our smiles?? I'm not really a smiler but would have put on a 1000 watts smile if it could get me thingS!

my dad just died and we discovered in his home that he was a secret hoarder/shopper. no one knew this had been going on for years. it was terrible to see it - his home was stacked with items from floor to ceiling in every room, all new and unused. don't let anyone tell you it's not a big problem, because it is. in my dad's case he could afford it, but if your addiction is leading you into money problems then you'll need some help before it gets out of control. I don't think it has to do with aspects to any planets - like venus/jupiter - imo it comes from lack of self-love of self-esteem, which I now figure my dad suffered from as well. you're using the shopping as a way of replacing some other happy feeling and the shopping probably makes you happy for a while, and then miserable after. if you already know you have the problem that's good because you can work towards solving it :-)

I have Sun conjunct Jupiter & Venus parallel Jupiter, I am a reformed shopping addicted but can you blame shopping is everywhere in nyc.

Your second house would be your resources and financial status and "fixed assets" i.e you have a bank account, expensive jewelry that can be sold if needed. The eighth house is resources from "others" i.e money of a spouse, money from law suit, inheritances etc. Also the 11th house represents incoming gains as well.

Seriously learn to manage your money while your young or you'll end up filing for bankruptcy before 30 .

I have a shopping addiction too. 2nd house ruler is afflicted ( Mars).
No Venus/Jupiter. I never use credit cards or money needed to pay the bills, because i hate to be indebted, i use only available cash. 2nd house ruler is afflicted, but my finaces are in excellent order. I am debt and morgage free. in America.

Almost every weekend i am out on a shopping spree, in fact i am going out now in a bit and my hands are itchy and my heart is pounding That doesnt necessarily mean i will buy a lot, it depends.

When my s.o. comes with me on a shopping spree which usually lasts around 4 hours, he ends up exhausted at the end with vomiting sensation.. he can't take it well.
