Maybe I should have never said anything, then because no one can understand anything unless it happens to them anyway.

I always assumed that Randall could see these passwords.. so it's no news to me and I don't mind.

I mean often moderators can delete or edit posts you make... so what's the difference?
It's easier for them to do this if they know the passwords.

You really shouldn't have the same password here as you do on your email. That's common sense.

However, I would be very surprised if one of the moderators has breached someone's privacy and looked through their email. If this happened - I hope Randall de-mods them.

Having been a moderator (though not at LL) I know a mod doesn't need passwords to edit or delete posts, and though I've helped moderate various types of boards (again, nothing like LL), the passwords were never available to mods.

And actually, when he says "webmaster" I assumed he meant whoever allows LL to be possible (that is, not a member, just sets it up so Randall can design it as he wishes), not Randall. While I can believe a webmaster who isn't a member could have such access, I'm going to be extremely skeptical if claiming Randall has this access, and downright dismissive of accusations that Randall would abuse that trust.

There are mods here other than Randall whom I'd be much more willing to believe inclined toward unethical behavior regarding that, but I just don't believe they have the opportunity. (Still, I'm glad it's a non-issue for me anyway.)

As a Mod of this Forum I can edit, close, or transfer topics.
I must be logged in to my account to do this.
I can not see anyone's e-mail addy or passwords,
so no dice Odette AND if that ever did happen Randall wouldn't stand for it.

Plus, most e-mail accounts warn the user if someone with a different ip logs into the account. Happened to me with Gmail and Yahoo (I was on vacation), haven't tried others.

Trying to ruining the web masters reputation is a low blow...
No one really cares what happened between you two..

Even if this is true, anyone could of hacked into your email, Randall puts a lot of effort into maintaining LL, he seems like an honest guy to me. He does not have a motive.

Mods do not have access to Passwords or email accounts. I, myself, can look up a User's email account, but I don't have access to Passwords, although I do get to see them once you first sign up. So, no one has to change your Passwords unless you want to.
