Do people with prominent taurus in their charts turn to food when they are feeling emotionally unfulfilled or upset/depressed?

It's generally said that Taurus Moons and Cancer Moons turn to food for comfort, yes.

However I have no Taurus or Cancer, and I'm this way.

Moon rules my IC though, and makes all kinds of aspects; I think having an afflicted Moon could make someone this way, no matter the placement.

maybe the aspects to the moon and its house position counts?

My moon is in Aries in the 9th.....When I am upset/anxious I don't share it with others.. I try to gather as much courage as possible and sort it out independently...I don't mind standing alone and fighting my own secret battle with everyone completely unaware.. .And I do turn to philosophy, astrology studies, psychology etc. to give me guidance and comfort...

I was referring to situations that arise for longer durations that make you emotionally deprived since you're unable to find a quick fix solution and you are forced to Endure the crisis and see it through....

A friend of mine with a Taurus moon has gained 7 kilos since the past year because of turning to food for emotional comfort..

Taurus Moons are famous for developing eating disorders.

Moon connected to Venus in some way can give trouble with eating correctly.

I have always daydreamed about food and I have lots of stomach allergies with a Taurus moon. Maybe food is important to Taureans, only not in the same way for everybody?

my s.o. has a Taurus Moon and he likes to cook his own food ( gourmet food always) and eat it. He likes food, a lot.
in general, I only eat food because I have to. He indulges himself with food.

everybody over-eats when they are upset

Not my bf, he has Sun/Moon/Mercury conjunct together in 2nd house in Taurus, but he is very self-aware of eating, seldom overeat no matter he is happy or sad, the food is good or not. I have eating disorder even I have got Scorpio Moon.

I've found genuine depression stops me from doing it though.... Kinda. Lol

That used to be my go-to when I was upset though, easily.

Sun in Taurus - Moon in Virgo. I do the opposite. I've lost about 10 pounds since the spring due to prolonged stress at work. I get nauseous and can't eat when stressed or in an uncertain situation. I overeat when I'm happy though - I know that certain Jupiter aspects can lead to overeating and my Jupiter conjuncts my Venus and North Node.

I had a friend who was a stress eater - he had a Gemini Sun and Sagittarius Moon and was very prone to either excessively eating or restricting his eating to the point of developing a disorder. His moon was in the 4th - I think a lot of Cancer placements may cause emotional eating or turning to food for comfort.
