I was reading a composite description on grupovenus.com and it stated about the Midheaven: quote: Since this is the most "visible" part of the composite chart, it represents how you are actually seen in the world by others. It represents your more outward or public face
What if this were applied to natal charts? We read everywhere that the Ascendant is our social "mask", but it's never really sat well with me. My Leo Ascendant is much more of who I am than just the person I "project" in social settings/meetings/situations. My Arien tendencies though, those definitely come out when I'm working or out on a night on the town. Either way I take charge. If I'm at work, people look to me for what to do because I'm their manager. If I'm out causing a ruckus, I'm usually the one deciding what we're doing/where we're going and by the end of the night convincing my friends we really should take one more shot then go jump the fence to a public pool for a quick dip Or my temper/mouth in a public place if someone offends me For some people, like myself, it can be a little more difficult to distinguish their ASC traits vs their MC traits because they may be fairly similar signs. Fixed & Cardinal Fire for example But the differences are there if you know yourself well enough.

My MC completely and totally squares my AC it's exact :/Not only that, I have four planets near my AC, three are conjunct, and these three also square the MC. Aaaaand to add to the confusion, I have one tenth house planet, chart ruler Venus, it sextiles the AC and the planets conjunct it, it rules the AC so that's one ray of light in an abysmal chasm. Sun and Saturn sorta form this little bridge to the MC, both are in sextile. IMO, this chart suggests starving artist's lifestyle with posthumous fame but the suffering artist's story has done been told too many times. It's so cliche. IP: Logged |

Actually, that's nothing new.MC = the "mask", the way people see us before they get to know us. ASC = the personality, the way we behave when getting to know people, "socialising". And then come the other planets - Sun, Moon, yada yada, when you get close to people on a personal level and show your "true colors". IP: Logged |

Exactly. Funny thing then. My work environment will see my Libra-MC conjunct Pluto.
my more personal environment sees Sag-ASC conjunct Neptune (and Mars, but that one is in 12th house). IP: Logged |

Yeah that makes sense. ^^^ I have Sun conjunct MC in Leo. I think my Leo shines more at work. Socializing at first I definitely feel the Scorpio. But that falls off when I am comfortable. PS: I have Pluto conjunct AC by 3 degrees Not to be a broken record but I have AC sq Sun by one minute. IP: Logged | |
