I read a brief post about how this placement indicates that we have a karmic debt to pay in this life, and that the house placement and signs will tell you where you need to focus your energies to repay said debt.

My Pisces sun is in the 8th house, sq Neptune in the 5th house.
I had a very traumatic experience when I was 19 years old and pregnant, when Saturn hit my sun exact.

Apparently, I was a horrible person in a past life...?!

Can anyone shed some light or feedback on these placements/aspects? Personal experience or hypotheses?

Thanks,
Violet

I have natal Neptune squaring my Sun, ASC, Mars and Nodes.
Neptune/Sun square is the tightest.

I haven't experienced anything traumatic so far *knock on wood* brrr

Also
TRansiting Neptune is on top of my Pisces ASC right now and opposing my Virgo Sun along the way.
I still dont have anything significant to report about this ongoing transit, except for an increased sensitivity and tripled empathy towards unfortunate creatures, mostly animals.

What houses are your Sun and Neptune in?
Apparently (I think), the house that Neptune is located in will guide you to which area of your life your "karmic debt" is located.

I don't think that everyone with this aspect will need to experience the type of tragedy that I experienced...I think that had more to do with Saturn sitting on my Sun in the 8th house, and highlighting the square/opposition aspects from Sun-Neptune-Moon.

I would imagine that Neptune on your Pisces Asc would leave you feeling very creative and dreamy, provided you don't engage in too much escapism!
(This coming from an experienced Pisces, ha).
Good luck and blessings!

Geez I just met my astrotwin! I have pisces sun in 8th house, square neptune - moon conjunction in 5th house.

I clearly remeber Saturn hit my sun 18 years ago, not so bad period actually. for exmple when tr. saturn was in virgo - activating the square 3-4 years ago was awful. Really awful!

Wow, what a weird coincidence! Although my Moon is opp my Sun, but it forms a tight triangle for me.

Now that you mention it... It wasn't exact, but as Saturn transited Virgo and my 8th house, I lost my job, my apartment, had to move back in with my mom for a brief stint, met my husband, and my grandma passed away (She was a Virgo).

Jeez, having a sun placement in the 8th house (my husband has it, too) can be a real double-whammy when it's afflicted.

Orange, I'm not sure what to make of the whole karma thing, but it has definitely made itself known in my life, but I'm still kind of wondering what to make of it.

Maybe it doesn't really hold true for everyone, or perhaps my chart is really "extra special", in the sense that I just realized the potential significance of my North Node being in conj with my Neptune, and thus also sq my Sun and Moon.
*face palm*
Um, is this some sort of horrid joke, Universe? (Just kidding, but really...)
:P

mine is a similar config only that the type of aspect is reversed.
My North Node sits right on my ASC, opposites Sun/DSC and all that is exactly squared by Neptune from the top of my chart.
hmm *scratching my head*

Wow, what an odd coincidence! It sounds as though you've had a much better go of it Orange, at least as far as working out the challenges of those particular aspects.

I'm still wondering about this idea of karma, or debt, regarding the Neptune sq Sun thing, and also...what on earth are we supposed to do when our North Node is sq to our Sun?!

I know that you mentioned that you're an agnostic, and I personally believe in reincarnation...so yeah, this is an odd twist, to my way of thinking.

Interesting. I'm a bit of a novice, and have never looked into Lilith, or what exactly that represents...but, upon inspection of the ephemeris for the year I was born, I just realized that my Lilith is also sitting on top of my Sun, with only a 3 degree orb...so it is also sq my North and South nodes (I think I'm correct about the nodes...they refer to the NN as the "true" Node, right? And the SN is always in direct opposition to the NN? I'm not well informed about the midpoints, Chiron, Lilith, and much beyond the basics). And opp my Moon.

That's very interesting, and I want to learn more about it. Specifically, I would like to figure out how to go about taking care of my karmic business in the most productive way possible, ha.
It's interesting how there are so many different ways that a Sun sq Neptune can manifest itself, now that I think about it.

Primarily, I'm wondering about how that will play out in my role as a mother, as Neptune is in my 5th house. I can see how it has played out in past relationships, hahah. Not so awesomely, but I think I've done my due diligence there.

Do you have kids?
Ppl with Neptune in the 5th tend to adopt orphans. Angelina Jolie comes to mind. Wonderful mothers.

Yes, I have a little boy. He's two. To my dismay, I discovered recently the implications of the fact that he has Saturn in his 4th house, and it is afflicted by Uranus as well as his Asc.
He also has an afflicted moon (his chart ruler) in his 4th house (sorry if I'm repeating myself here, I just posted about this yesterday for anyone who might have already seen that post), hence my concern.

I'm a very loving mother, but wow...we have some complicated charts in our family.

I have Sun square Neptune (11H and 8H, respectively) and sometimes I do feel like I'm living out karma in this lifetime. I don't know if I had anything traumatic happen to me at the level you did, but I grew up in a really dysfunctional household (who didn't?) and things my mom constantly said

Yeah, it's really odd to me, now that I start looking at it from this perspective. I suppose I have always held the belief that we're ALL repaying some sort of karmic debt in each lifetime, as we create karma throughout our incarnations, or something to that effect. But perhaps I've been mistaken.

The really odd thing that I've noticed is that not one single family member or friend whose charts I have access to (and that would be quite a few) have this aspect...except for me, and my son.

What's even more odd is the fact that my son's Neptune is in Pisces, and my Sun sits directly on it, with an orb of only three degrees or so. As my Lilith is in conjunction with my sun (what does Lilith do, anyway??), I just find that very...strange.

I want to read more about karma and astrology now at this point, as I know that I have personally always felt that I had some sort of karmic debt to be paid in this life.

It's really kind of blowing my mind as I find out more and more, and look at our charts. But I don't know enough about this particular end of the astrology spectrum to make heads or tails of it!

It's interesting that you met your husband when tr. saturn was opposing your sun and conjunct your moon. I met a special man back then too.Sadly things didn't work out.

In my chart venus conjunct south node exact, so this is about karma in it, I guess.

Wow, the similarities of our charts and life changes are really cool, in a way!

I'm sorry that your relationship didn't work out...do you mind if I ask how long it lasted? I sometimes worry about my marriage (Virgo moon will tend to worry about nearly everything, I suppose), although we're very stable thus far (and we've had our trials, for sure).

I noticed, looking back, that Saturn had passed my sun and moon and was directly sextile my natal Saturn with an orb of about 5 degrees...so hopefully that's a good thing...?

It's funny that we have so many placements and aspects in common!
I hope all is going well for you now. I know that I'm personally having a hard time with all of my cardinal placements (there are quite a few, all at odds with each other), with Pluto and Uranus doing their thing right now. But so far, so good.

We weren't able to establish a relationship at all. Tried for 5-6 times, every time something interrupted, there were misunderstandings and so on. Finally I gave up although giving up cause me enormous pain.

I wish you everything with cardinal transits work out good for you. Thank you for your answer and encoutaging words, Violet.
