Sun in Leo - Aries duad Moon in Capricorn - Cancer Ascendant Libra - Sagittarius Mercury in Virgo - Aquarius Venus in Virgo - Cancer Mars in Virgo - Scorpio Jupiter in Cancer - Leo Saturn in Capricorn - Aries Uranus in Capricorn - Capricorn Neptune in Capricorn - Aries Pluto in Scorpio - Aries NN in Aquarius - SagittariusIn my chart I have Mars trine Saturn and Neptune; sextile Pluto (=all three of those in the Aries duad?) and Uranus conjunct Saturn. Jupiter squares my Ascendant (Sag rising) Moon in the 4th (Moon in Cancer duad) Moon trine Venus (Venus in Cancer duad) And Astrolog gives me a loose Jupiter-NN trine (NN in Sag duad). All of it fits, especially the Cancer influence. It's fun to see how it all plays out - the duads do emphasise what's already in the chart. Only thing that really surprises me is the Mercury in Aquarius (how ironic!). Oh, I'll figure it out! It's still a good placement. So... I have a question: what about duad-to- natal planet conjunctions? Like I have my Moon and Venus conjunct by duad, would that be like having it natally? IP: Logged |

I find it interesting how airy my chart looks, taking duads into consideration. My only air placement by sign is Mars in Aquarius, but when looking at the duad breakdown...Ascendant - Cancer Duad (Virgo Rising, Taurus Decan) Sun - Capricorn Duad (Aries Sun, Sagittarius Decan) Moon - Aquarius Duad (Sagittarius Moon, Sagittarius Decan) Mercury - Libra Duad (Taurus Mercury, Virgo Decan) Venus - Gemini Duad (Pisces Venus, Pisces Decan) Mars - Scorpio (Aquarius Mars, Libra Decan) Jupiter - Leo Duad (Cancer Jupiter, Cancer Decan) Saturn - Libra Duad (Capricorn Saturn, Virgo Decan) Uranus - Aries Duad (Capricorn Uranus, Capricorn Decan) Neptune - Gemini Duad (Capricorn Neptune, Taurus Decan) Pluto - Taurus Duad (Scorpio Pluto, Pisces Decan) Maybe this is why I get on suspiciously well with Libras? hmmmmm...hahaha ------------------ Sun -> Aries Moon -> Sagittarius Ascendant -> Virgo IP: Logged |

Yep. Now I'm wondering if there's any site that generates a duad natal chart.Haha! I just discovered my software has this option Damn, this looks weird. Like, there are no houses and my IC is in Aquarius and ASC in Capricorn. And a lot of the aspects suck. I don't like it anymore ------------------ I'm sooo happy! I mean, cappy. IP: Logged |

Sun - Leo, Capricorn duad Moon - Taurus, Virgo duad Mercury - Leo, Capricorn duad Venus - Gemini, Taurus duad Mars - Aries, Cancer duad
^^i think that since 4 out of 5 of my personal planets are in an earth duad, it slightly grounds some of my fiery/airy placements. i do think it's slight but i've always felt more grounded than my chart would suggest before knowing about duads. as far as the family/duad thing goes my immediate family is 4 out 5 earth signs with the exception of my mother who is a Gemini Sun/Capricorn Moon/Gemini Venus (unknown birthtime) Of the 4 Earth Sun family members two are capricorn, one virgo, one taurus (like my personal planet duads) -- I think that's pretty interesting. I know you asked how it feels but either my combust mercury or water void (both i've which i've seen you write about) makes it harder to look at in terms of feelings. Jupiter - Gemini, Gemini duad ^unaspected jupiter, hard for me to even really get in touch with this at all. only minor aspects. i would think it would just reinforce, though. Saturn - Sagittarius, Libra duad Uranus - Sagittarius, Libra duad Neptune - Capricorn, Aries duad (not sure if i can really feel these duads either) Pluto (chart ruler) - Scorpio, Aquarius duad i do think i could see how this plays out. i know i'm plutonian but my chart ruler conjunct ascendant would suggest i'm more plutonian than i believe that i am. I think the Aquarius duad makes my Pluto more detached and desiring the greater good -- counteracting some of the negative qualities of scorpio on a side note about water void: i thought of your writing last week about water voids (i know it's debatable because scorpio pluto is in water but i also have read on astro.com that generational planets don't count) either way, i had a family member, a cousin, lost their child suddenly. it pained me i didn't feel like i could express my sympathy in words as well as i wished that i could. i reached out and am being supportive however i thought i could. the earth in me usually just wants to "physically be there" for people even if i can't find the words i want to say. i don't have these birthtimes, though. i didn't feel right asking. but yeah, when i had initially read about water voids i didn't necessarily agree but now i understand. Guys Can you explain the whys of dispositors to me in a simple way. I think it is the weighting of planets and so once one finds the most weighty planet, one uses that as kind of the CEO of the chart. Is that true? Any more specific kinds of reasons to use the dispositors and ways that you use them would be appreciated! ------------------ Passion, Lust, Desire. Anne Ortelee for example mentions how planets "listen" to another planet (the one that rules the sign, or is associated with the sign). For example: Sun in Sagittarius listens to Jupiter Mercury in LIbra listens to Venus and so on. Stephen ARroyo calls them "overtones" and sais they modify the expression of the planet in a sign.
I definitely agree with that, maybe it also shows more exactly how the planet in sign expresses (though that might actually be the same as saying, it modifies the expression). I usually only consider the direct dispositor (though looking at dispositor trees can be interesting; using traditional rulerships, my chart is divided; one part listens to Jupiter in Pisces, the other listens to the recepiton of Moon in Aquarius and Saturn in Cancer - of course that is only true for traditional rulerships). Anyway, for me it certainly is VERY important with my big big stellium in Sagittarius. Jupiter is in Pisces. That gives a different vibe than if Jupiter was in Aries or Leo most certainly. All the idealism, the enthusiasm, the ideas, the fire of SAgittarius in my chart is being expressed through Jupiter in Pisces in 3rd house, which actually adds to the dreams and idealism I suppose. lol It also shows how my Sagittarianness is most clearly expressed in the way I communicate (3rd house) and how I am maybe not as outgoing as you would expect with so much SAg. There is a softer, more emotional side coming into play. And making the dreaminess increase a lot. Actually I could be too much Jupiter-Neptune there (they are in mutual reception and square each other, too).
A guy I know has a big Stellium in SAg, too, but his Jupiter is in Virgo. He is so much more earthy than me, very practical, grounded, physical, but still very much Sag-like.
(our Jupiters are exactly opposite as a matter of fact - fascinating man he is).

I might not agree with everything he sais, but he has quite some valid pointsHe uses the whole essential dignities; I usually just stick to rulership (or the dispositor). But hsi "board of directors" is an intriguing concept. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NNMqJtFSnz4
