We had a thread about Sun in the 1st in synastry and a lot of people agreed that the planet person feels at ease with the house person but not necessarily vice versa. So, usually - the planet person feels comfortable with the 1st house person. Though it can of course go both ways. There could be attraction also, because the 1st house (ASC especially) represents our physical body and mannerisms, so it's quite easy to identify with someone whose ASC is in the same sign as one of your personal planets, especially if there's an actual conjunction. My father's moon in Leo is conjunct my Asc.I always know what he's feeling even if he tries to hide it but that might also be because our charts have a lot in common.------------------ I am stuck in a daydream IP: Logged |

I agree, but with houseplacements I believe it is necessary that there are aspects as well.Someone`s planet in your 1st house without any aspects to your planets will not make itself known much. IP: Logged |

Someone once put their Mars in my 1st and it made no aspects to my planets but I could feel it nonetheless, although it wasn't as strongly felt as one might expect with such a configuration (like I wasn't crazily attracted to them or anything, just thought they were quite sexy). My ex's Venus widely conjuncted my ASC and made no aspects to my planets (except a quincunx to my Mercury) and that one I didn't feel much, but I think it's because the whole thing was opposing his Uranus which kinda killed the romance. First house (5 degree in Scorpio - 5 degree in Sag). I have Pluto, Jupiter and NN in Scorpio so when their planets conjunct my planets in 1st, situation changes according to the planets involved.Sun in my first - I’ve never had any bad experience with these people. I’ve never met a bad Scorpio Sun. I admire these guys especially the late Scorpios and early Sags probably because I have NN in late Scorpio. My role models, lol. Moon in my first - I can read them like a book and Scorpio Moons don’t like it, Sag Moons don’t really mind. All that tough exterior covers their vulnerable side. It feels like I make them insecure. Sometimes I get jealous of these people. Mercury in my first - I’m a quiet person but these people can really make me talk. They know my secrets. I’ve had a very good experience with them. Venus in my first - My favourite people. I’ve never been in relationship with anyone except them, enough said. Mars in my first - I clash with them. They bring out my competitive side. Lot of power plays involved. I have not really noticed the effects of outer planets in first. I only know few Saturn in Scorpios and they usually act like they are my teachers. IP: Logged |

Itried to, yes, just wanting to emphasize what you wrote, how the placement itself made itself felt a little less strongly than expected. Of course the effect will still be there even without aspects, but more of a background-vibe, but once there are strong aspects, there is a lot of energy flowing. Which is what aspects really are about - energy. IP: Logged |

There is someone who puts his Sun and Moon and MC in my 1st house and his Mercury, too.
His Sun and Moon and MC conjunct my Sun and Mercury, and his Mercury conjuncts my Mars, ASC, Neptune and NN. He pushes quite a lot of buttons, and oftentimes puts me under considerable stress (good stress ), cause it feels like I can`t hide, like I can`t become invisible at will as I am used to (Neptune!). But basically I like it. IP: Logged |

Hey there Doux! I was wondering, I have a synastry chart with someone where my Mars is in his first house. My Mars rules my 8th/1st House and it sextiles his 8th House ruler Sun (0° orb). His Sun overlays into my 8th House and his Moon overlays into my 1st. My question is, how strongly are sextiles felt in synastry, in your experience? Some people say "you won't feel that at all" and others say the opposite. I know that it depends on people's charts and what aspects they really feel but in general, is a sextile very weak beneficent energy in your experience? If it is, do you think it's strengthened in this case because both planets involved rule our 8th house cusps and are impacting each other's 1st/8th houses? Sorry for the question, sometimes it's easier to be objective with another person taking a look at configurations. I end up confusing myself sometimes. IP: Logged |

Hi MsPrism,Looks like there are some interesting connections there in your synastry. I think sextiles are basically a supportive influence but they're not very strongly felt *by themselves*. In your case though, I do think it's stregthened because it's between two masculine planets and they both rule the 8th house natally - the energy created is more intense than if it were between rulers of more impersonal houses. The fact that your Mars falls in that person's 1st house could mean that one or both of you find each other attractive on a basic, primitive level (not taking into account the aesthetics or personality traits). Moon in 1st is almost always beneficial, especially when the man's Moon falls in the woman's 1st house, the closer the Moon is to the ASC, the stronger the emotional attraction. Of course aspects to that Moon natally and in synastry are very important because they point to possible areas of emotional issues between the two people. Sun in the 8th - you as the house person would experience them through the lens of the 8th, their Sun "lights up" that area for you, which becomes an area of focus (attraction / repulsion, deep emotions, healing, sexuality, secrets, taboos, and so on). The planet person may be aware of their effect on you and react in consequence - either they'll be interested too, or kinda creeped out, haha. I'm pretty sure you knew all that already, but oh well. And it's totally fine to ask questions, I know how difficult it can be to be objective with synastries that involve our own charts. IP: Logged |

My ex's Mars is in my 1st House. He makes me feel uneasy. I mean, I'm a Scorpio and I already feel uneasy without reason. His Mars also conjuncts my ASC and Moon.IP: Logged |

I thought the 1st house was supposed to be quite good for romance and attraction, especially if the moon or venus of a partner falls there. I'm rather surprised to hear the house person feels discomfort. IP: Logged |

Hey there Doux.Thank you so much for explaining that! I swear, my mind turns to jelly sometimes (or often)! It is definitely a pretty interesting synastry. We have both our Moons in the other's 1st and my Mars in his 1st with his Mars in my 7th. Also a whole bunch of other stuff like my Sun/Jupiter conjunct his Moon and IC. I'm curious to see how it all plays out. I'm wondering if there will be many fights because his Mars conjuncts my Pluto and my Pluto is opposite his Moon. *shrug* Just gotta roll with the punches, right? IP: Logged |

Well, I mean, I liked him a lot. I still like him. He's my ideal partner, but I just feel like he wants to fondle and grope me, hence Mars. IP: Logged |

Good luck, MsPrism! Looks like fun times are ahead. quote: Originally posted by Jessica2407: How about Jupiter falling in the first house?
I guess that would be a positive influence for sure, unless other aspects point to problems. I can't say exactly what the influence is like, maybe the Jupiter person inspires the 1st house person to take more risks and be more optimistic and pushes them to "expand their horizons" both mentally and physically. My brother hasMoon 15 aries DC 15 aries Sun 16 aries venus 16 aries Mercury 17 aries My asc is at 2 aries so all his 7 th house stuff falls in my first. He is super nice to me but i feel like he pries too much and almost everything i say is misinterpreted. His mars in gemini is conjunct my venus in my third house. Maybe its that. He tries to make me talk and get everything out of me. But he has ASC libra and i dont trust the nice guy routine...im a bit paranoid. IP: Logged |
