I do. Things like, higher education, religion, and philosophy have always been important to me, but somehow have eluded me. I have many hundreds of books...the majority of which are unread or only partially read. I have enough college credits for several degrees, yet no degree. I'm a voracious acquirer of knowledge, but have not used it for much of anything. So does Saturn in this house give them the discipline to pursue these areas of life, or does it restrict their pursuit? In my case, you could argue the latter, yet there might be something else at play in my case. My Mars is in Sagittarius, so my energy is directed in pursuit of Sag/9th house ideals. But as it typical of this Mars placement, that energy is scattered far and wide, and I haven't developed the discipline and determination to develop my talent fully. Once it becomes work, I loose interest.

Another Sag/9th area is travel, and I have constant wanderlust, but stay close to home.Is Saturn in the 9th dampening that spirit? Is it Mars in my 4th? Is it my Moon in Cancer? IP: Logged |

Your first and this post apply to me as well, but my Mars is in Capricorn. Why is Mars being mentioned though? I don't get it.Edit - Oh your Saturn is in Aries, lol. Mine is in Sagittarius - Jupiter in Pisces in 1st house. Maybe that's why I don't have trouble with traveling or education.. My Saturn (my chart ruler along with Uranus) is in the 9th house, but it aspects my Sun, Moon and Mercury. I grew up in a diff. country than the one I was born in. Education is my everything - it's even the first thing I look for in my significant other. I always loved school and have my degree. I'm planning to return to school for something health related, but not entirely sure yet. Was interested in becoming a NICU nurse, but always had "teacher" in my heart (my kid dream, changed my mind to nurse as an adult).. quote: Originally posted by IrisRainbow: I have traveled a lot in my life and I still do.I grew up in a different country than I live right now but i'm planning on moving back for studies.I guess it's saturn in the 9th?and 12H cusp in cancer?

My jupiter is in Capricorn but in my fifth house AND retrograted.Lucky me :P However, education is vital for me.I am still 17 but I have plans for studying Marketing and journalism later on. My saturn squares my sun and my mercury and jupiter, sextiles my venus. we mentioned Mars because the 9th house is related to Sag which is the zodiac sign of education/traveling and all, along with the 3rd house/Gemini ------------------ I am stuck in a daydream IP: Logged |

I didn't say Mars rules Sagittarius.I said that the 9H is the house OF sagittarius. Saturn is really mean to me :P what aspects/placements do you have that indicate a love for teaching? IP: Logged |

I still don't understand why you mentioned Mars before then. You said: "we mentioned Mars because the 9th house is related to Sag which is the zodiac sign of education/traveling and all, along with the 3rd house/Gemini" -- I still don't see the relation of Mars to the 9th house and Sagittarius..I have Saturn in Sagittarius. You mentioned you have Saturn in Aries - perhaps that is the reason why you mentioned Mars. Jupiter is a teacher, or so I have read - 9th house higher education. My Saturn in Sag and ruler of Sag Jupiter in Pisces I guess that's what gives the love of teaching vibe for me =) quote: Originally posted by IrisRainbow: I didn't say Mars rules Sagittarius.I said that the 9H is the house OF sagittarius.Saturn is really mean to me :P what aspects/placements do you have that indicate a love for teaching?

Since I'm the one who originally brought up Mars in the first place, hopefully I can explain. This post is about 2 things...Saturn and the 9th house. But we must always look at the chart as a whole, so for Saturn, we should also take consideration of Capricorn and the 10th house. LIkewise, we should look at Sagittarius and perhaps Jupiter. So Mars isn't relavant..per se...it's that Mars and the 4th house are in Sagittarius in my particular chart. What's more, then it becomes noteworthy that 4th house concerns "color" this interplay. Yes, I understand Saturn rules 10th and Capricorn. Yes Sagittarius and Jupiter, I completely understand all of that, which is why Mars threw me off, but now that you mentioned what you did it makes sense. The other explanation didn't make any sense to me . quote: Originally posted by mcmlxix: Since I'm the one who originally brought up Mars in the first place, hopefully I can explain. We could also look at aspects to Saturn. So in my case, I'd have to drag Venus in to the discussion. IP: Logged |

Yes, you have to look at every aspect Saturn makes. My initial confusion was the reason as to why Mars was brought in, but you already clarified that for me =).Since IrisRainbow (to me at least) made it seem like Mars was somehow related to the 9th house/Sagittarius, it confused me because there is no relation there. I have saturn retrograde in 9th conjunct my MC in pisces.I've always been good in school and self motivated to do well academically even from a young age. I've read that having saturn in retrograde in the 9th will result in a delay in being able to pursue a higher education but it's not true in my case. I'll be starting college this fall at a big university and I had no problems getting accepted. I've traveled a bit too but I haven't been overseas yet. IP: Logged |

Hi! Here is" Saturn, Mercury R, Venus and Sun in 9th" talking. They're all conjunct in 9th. I've never travelled a lot. I'm from Portugal and I've never been too far from home because I only travelled by car, my parents don't like airplanes neither boats... I've only been to Spain, but one day I'd like to visit San Francisco, or even live there if I like! One hell of an airplane trip, gosh. That day seems to be very far away from the present time. I've been busy with college. The 1st year kinda changed my point of view of life. Every single day I wake up early in the morning to catch the train and get at college. Things aren't always easy, but inside I've been always excited with the environment, and it just made me think and it turns that it encouraged myself to be a better person. I aspire so much in this life but it is though when you don't really trust in your own capabilities (Sun Saturn speaking) But I have never really got tired and let down Seems legit! ------------------ Sun and Mars Aquarius, Nonconformism Moon Taurus, Stability Mercury R, Venus and Saturn Pisces, Condescendence Uranus and Neptune Capricorn, Transcendence Pluto and Jupiter Scorpio, Truth ASC Cancer, domestic sloth!!! hehe IP: Logged |
