Water signs are all about emotions and air signs are about intellectualizing things and aren't comfortable with their emotions so much. The sun is who you are, and part of your moon is how you deal with and what you're like in an emotional state. So when you have a water sign sun, it's basic to say that they're going to be an emotional person. But when you look further and see that this person has an air sign moon, does that just cancel the emotional qualities? If it does, what does that make the person as a whole, when the most obvious thing to do with a water sign sun is emotion, and their moon sign objects that? What does that leave the water sign sun to manifest in the person? I personally have Scorpio sun, Libra moon. Do any of you have water sign sun, air moon as well? What are the placements specifically, if you do? What do you think having this placement accounts for? I'm pretty interested in this. :)

I am this! Scorpio Sun, Aquarius Moon.

I'm emotional and that is indeed my basic drive; I'm sensitive and my feelings are like a compass to me. But at the same time I'm also detached and aloof. I can reason things and think if I want. I think a water sun and air moon allows a person to detach when they want, though they don't always know how innately. Maybe a good term is unemotionally emotional. Emotions are high and experienced, but at the same time they're detached from other people.

I can completely agree with this. I also have a Gemini ascendant along with my Scorpio sun and Libra moon, and whenever I'm walking through the halls at my school with my friend who's also pretty detached, I'll be in my head thinking about how I feel and maybe something else and she'll just say, "Why do you act so detached?" and I'll just shrug. I really like emotional things as well, like emotional poetry or art. Maybe that's because of the Libra moon, Libra is ruled by Venus, Venus is your likes and what pleases you, and it's my moon sign, so aesthetic pleasure from emotions? I also really love to philosophize, after I experience something emotionally pulling I'll analyze deeper into it and then apply it to my life and life in general, lol. Thanks for your input! I am a cancer sun and aquarius moon
I feel that even when I feel some emotion and really want to express it,I'm pulling it right back inside of me and analyse it.Why do I feel like that?Are my emotions thoughts as well?
Generally,I'm rather aloof because I don't know how to deal with so much emotion and just choose not to feel it.

Note;I have five planets in air signs so maybe that magnifies it.

Awww I love these air moon threads. I feel like we are so misunderstood. I have so much to say I don't even know where to start lol. I am sun cancer/moon aqua. I used to feel insecure about how I am but as I get older I realize its people's problem and not mine if they don't like how I am. I find that I am compassionate but I also am level-headed in a lot of situations. People have said I am cold-hearted but I don't feel the need to replay the same drama over and over again like some do. I will tell people to their face the truth and they don't seem to like it but too bad. I don't appreciate them playing mind games with me to my face like I'm an idiot. I find that people ALWAYS ask me what I'm thinking like they want to get inside my head. Like I am hiding something. Or they are just very curious.

I feel this way a lot.I've been called Ice Queen.I just believe that my feelings are for me and not for anyone else.I know what I feel and when I feel,people tend to not understand us at all,unless they go through the same thing

Yes, i find that people like to feed off each other. They want you to reinforce their ego-beliefs. With my aqua moon i dont like inauthenticity so it makes some people uncomfortable but i have actually gained respect with some people for it. My cousin is taurus sun/gemini moon and she tries to feed off me a bit and is a bit of a drama queen, but we get along very well because of the way we process things. I have two sisters that are cancer moons and they think im mean and cold hearted. Ironic, because im a cancer sun.

My boyfriend is a Cancer sun with Gemini moon. He is a very emotional person but he tries to deny or suppress this. He tries to over-rationalize everything. I would not say he's uncomfortable with his emotions, but he tries too hard to control them.

Air Moons have emotions, they just handle them differently! I like to keep cool headed and even fi I get heated in the moment, I still know what I'm doing. Still lucid!

I am only "react" emotionally or with emotion depending on my familiarity and closeness with another person. The most some people can get out of me is a eyebrow raise or a glare. I am pretty aloof and in my own world it irritates the heck out of people.

I have an.. acquaintance, I guess that's what I'll call him, (haha) who has Cancer sun and Aquarius moon as well as you do, and he acts in the same way. I'm very misunderstood as well, and Scorpio sun people ( which I am ) are very misunderstood alone, so having an air sign moon with my already misunderstood water sign sun probably just amplifies that aspect of my personality. xD

In your own world? HECK YES. Everyone in my school thinks I'm the biggest daydreamer of all time. Although they acknowledge that I perform very well in school, they're absolutely convinced that I only exist in a world of my own and am completely clueless as to what goes on around me. xD Some people will literally talk about me whilst their beside me like I don't notice a thing. And while I am very much a huge daydreamer, I'm also very observant ( Libra moon, Scorpio sun ). But yes the whole "in your own world" thing I think applies to the placement because of the combination of the emotional water qualities and the idealist, happy-go-lucky air qualities. :) I find both elements to be very imaginative.
