I know it's known as the house of marriage/relationships, but does it also take into account platonic bonds? I'm just wondering because I've realized that I am always the one to end friendships. I can't remember a time when someone stopped being friends with me first. I am a pretty laid back and go with the flow, but when a person starts getting abrasive with me, I guess I slowly build up resentment until I blow out my steam by dropping them like a hot potato. In the past year, I've left four friends. Or could this tendency be linked to another house/position?IP: Logged |

you just described me to a tee, and I have Uranus in my 7th house as well. And Pluto. All my friendships and relationships usually undergo several tests and only the vetted ones I'd let stay forever. They can pretty much do whatever after the pass. The rest would be disposed on the side of the "friendship" road. IP: Logged |

Nah, I take friends as a 7H matter. I have Uranus in there too. I've also just dropped off the face of the earth and never spoken to a friend again, or then I'll come back out of the blue too. It seems obvious to me, but I think other people really don't expect it...or perhaps Uranus times it that way similar to Scorpio?IP: Logged |

Haha, that's kind of a relief to know! It makes so much sense to me now. I just have no qualms against leaving someone when their behavior gets to be too much for me to handle or there's not enough equality. It takes some time for it to happen, so people are always kind of "blindsided" by my severing of our friendship.IP: Logged |

I always took it that people were really f.cking self-absorbed and didn't notice my huffing and puffing...that's why I never feel bad. I also have Sun, Moon, Mercury, and Venus in the 11H which makes it that much stronger, I guess. IP: Logged |

7th house is about what you encounter in the external world. This could be your romantic partner, but it could also be personal friends. These friends would be friends because of your personalities, and usually pretty committed. Friends in the 11th house are predominantly those who share a vision with you, goals, ideas about society, friends with whom you socialize (also in larger groups).
So both houses are important in this regard. IP: Logged |

That is a good point. The people I've stopped befriending have all been the crude, brash type that are too "my way or the highway." So I don't feel bad either, especially since I have a Cancer rising and Pisces moon (and water in most of my chart, really...), which makes me susceptible to being a pushover anyway. People can only take so much.

I have Taurus in the 11th house, what would that imply? I read some stuff online, but.

A similar thought occurred to me today. The people I feel most at home with on the job (thus far - touch wood) have Scorpio Asc. I have Uranus (6th ruler) in Scorpio. IP: Logged |
