What in astrology makes you fall in love? Surely, we are all compatible with different people in many different areas of life - thinking,communication,likes-dislikes,beliefs,emotions and feelings...etc....but aspects in synastry (alone) does not make us fall in love.....So what does?

And one-sided love...what about that?

I have read that Uranus in synastry is responsible for love at first sight.....is that the only cause....what if you experience love at first sight with someone and there is no Uranus? Does that happen?

If you are actually incompatible.. but one or both persons is so much in love and admires you that they will change/compromise to make you happy?

What causes all this? House-overlay?Composite?
What if the synastry and composite are not so great....and still you are so much in love with the person and willing to work for it?

Could Composite to Natal aspects cause all this?

Suppose a guy has a dream girl in mind....then he sees/meets someone one day.. or maybe a couple of times and he is completely convinced that she is the ONE ....what causes this?

i've had that one-sided love, and it's my natals that do it more than the synastry. my own natal has tons of saturn, so i try to work things out even when they shouldn't be worked on anymore.

knowing that someone is 'the one' (but if it's one-sided) would probably stem from angles being touched by the planets of another, so that'd be synastry. if nodes/angles conjunct the others' ASC/DSC they will feel you represent their ideal, but you might not reciprocate the feeling

One-sided love - natally and sometimes in synastry: Saturn and / or Pluto hard aspects to personal planets, Neptune can also factor in.
Saturnians tend to fall for people who don't reciprocate their feelings because that validates their (sometimes subconscious) feeling of unworthiness (usually in younger years, then they become more cautious and take time before developing any kind of "feelings" for someone).

Afflicted planets usually play out as insecurity so most people experience one-sided love at some point in their life - most of us have hard aspects in our charts which need to be addressed, but first they have to be triggered and come to our awareness - and that happens through other people and their "otherness".

I'm hopeless...or is it hopeful. I fall head-over-heals, butterflies in the stomach, puppy dog crush, in love, daily. Needles to say, it's usually short lived.

Natal predisposition is THE biggest contributing factor! Really, there's no point in even attempting to understand a synastry or composite until you've taken a good, hard look at the natals of the two individuals involved. So you've got Mars in Sagittarius? What's Mars doing in your chart? What house is he in, which house(s) does he rule? What aspects does he make? Once you know that, then you can grasp how your Mars will behave when touched by the planets of another.
