Topic: Living in my own head most of the time. Does my birth chart indicate such tendency?

I'm wondering if my tendency to live inside my own private little world most of the time could be shown through my birth chart ? Sometimes I feel truly detached from reality which is very weird... IP: Logged |

Yes I do I think 24/7. I have troubles sleeping at night because sometimes my mind wouldn't shut off. IP: Logged |

Heavy emphasis on the first quadrant (houses 1-3). That's the most inward focused and hidden portion of the chart for anyone. You've got both luminaries and 4 planets there. And as SSS already mentioned, your 3rd house is loaded. The "night" portion of a chart (houses 1-6) is less visible to others than the "day" portion (houses 7-12). The Eastern half is more self focused and the Western half is more relational. So how do you feel about "living in your head"? Does it bother you? Or does it bother someone else and they're making you feel like you should be somehow different? IP: Logged |

Yes, mostly my Mom. She wants me to be more "involved" with others and more "connected" with my immediate environment. She Constantly accuses me of being emotionally distant and detached from relatives/family. IP: Logged |

Hmmm. Do you think that she's worried about you? Or just wanting to get you to be something you're not? With all you're planets in the "night" part of the chart, it would be hard for her to really "see" you. But perhaps if she see's that you're not just "taking up space" but that there's something actually "going on" inside you that IS productive, it would help her leave you alone. For example, 3rd house includes things like communication. If she knows that you're actually writing stories, poems, songs or something that seems "concrete" and "real" to her (forget that the story is pure fiction), it might help her accept you. A rich imagination can be a real blessing if used well. (BTW I've got Saturn transiting my Neptune so I'm all into making my imaginations concrete right now ) Just an idea. IP: Logged |

Yes, use it in stories, writing, art It's a perfect 'bridge' for creating those quote: Originally posted by Jkitty: Hmmm. Do you think that she's worried about you? I do write fiction. I love writing and I always believed that my true calling is to become a writer but Mom doesn't think it's good for me. She wants me to find a job that pays the bills so to speak. I'm naturally a loner, I spend a lot of time on my own. I daydream a lot and play endless plots for different stories inside my head but I find it difficult to turn these ideas into " "real" stories. I think that's due to the lack of fixed signs in my Birth chart. I currently have transiting Neptune conjunct Saturn as well.IP: Logged |

The ruler of the 12th house (Sun) conjuncts Mars: This can have the effect of not being able to sleep, not sleeping for a long time or waking up too early. It also can be responsible for vivid dreams and nightmares. Mercury (the ruler of the Asc) is also in its own traditional house (3rd). The Sun also being in 3rd gives one a restless nature. But again, I suspect this restless nature is internalized by Pluto (being the ruler of the 3rd). Neptune forms good spects (by sextile) to the ruler of the 3rd house (Pluto) but also to the Asc(Virgo) by trine. IP: Logged |

Moon square Neptune and Sun conjunct IC would be an indication to this...IP: Logged |

Yeah. My 3rd house is quite dominant. I always wondered about this huge focus of planets and energy om my 3rd House. What purpose does it serve from a Karmic perspective in your opinions ?IP: Logged |

Sorry, I had to edit my post because I felt it was too long and quite verbose.I have no idea about the "Karmic" connection. As I really don't believe in that. IP: Logged |

SilverFeather:I have Moon sq. Neptune and a loaded 3rd House too (Mercury, Venus, Mars, Chiron) - Also Sun opposite MC/conjunct IC. I live in my head a lot too, more focused on abstractions, philosophies, psychology, etc. It's almost as if I prefer them to actually socializing with people though I do fit that in here and there. I saw your topic and had to look. I would say the full lower half with only Chiron on the upper would make you pull inside yourself rather than reach out.------------------ Passion, Lust, Desire. Check out my journal http://www.mychristianpsychic.com/

I relate to you perfectly. I have the same interests though my Sagittarius Stellium helps me open up from time to time. IP: Logged |

Silver you sound like me, or the way I was till I hit 20. Then less so but the signs of living in my head are still strong. Happy to spend time alone and hardly ever sleep thru the night. My mother nearly had a fit when I first suggested I would like to study Philosophy. She wanted me to do practcal things like typing, Home Sciences (talk about a contradiction in terms) etc. I too have a heavy 3rd house (Mars, Mercury, Neptune) and 1st quadrant. Sun broadly conjunct IC.I've discoverd that this condition is problematic when you want to bring your imaginative ideas to fruition. Working with another or in a group helps. I need someone to keep me grounded or motivate me to the extent that I overcome my natural tendenecy to dream my life away. That is not to say I can't get things done. I can, inconsistently. I find I get bored easily and either go back to 'life in head' or look forward to a new challenge. IP: Logged |

Just saw this post. Chryseis did a most recent past life reading for me and saw that i was a dreamer there too - so defintely a karmic lesson to be learnt. Same challenges being presented in this life, as it were. Now I have better understanding of what will work for me - a strong sense of self-worth is key - believing that what I have to contribute to society in general is needed and important is also a motivating factor. Karmic lesson: self-knowledge and development
