The question of astrology being fatalistic or not depends more on the astrologer than the astrology itself. Of course there are branches in western astrology, that are fatalistic, too. Usually these that put the most weight onto prediction of events.
Personally I do psychological astrology, and this will really actually describe certain psychological things or developments, but it is of course the responsibility of every individual how they will deal with it,w hat they will do.
If someone gets homeless, what could astrology tell them, that they don´t already know? It also will be important how they view their homelessness, do they hate it? Did they maybe hate their home-conditions more, so they voluntarily walked out?
What are they willing to do to change that? Do thy want to change that? Apart from that astrology simply does not work in equations.
You have got to go to the basic symbolism.
The becoming homeless is already an expression of a certain symbolism.
(Uranus conjunct IC: something shaking up the foundations of your life). How that shaking up expresses itself, can be quite different.
In my case I did NOT become homeless. As a fact I still live door to door with my parents.
Still, yes there was a shaking up of my soul, my roots, the foundation of my life I had been standing on.
But I still had the choice how to deal with it. Nothing forced me to do what I did.
The only thing that maybe was fated, was that there WOULD be a choice. Things couldn´t stay the way they had been.
B But since an astrological symbol has various (but not arbitrary!) possibilities of expression (partially they can be seen from the natal chart, which can lead us to educated guesses), it is still up to us, how we express this configuration, or if it was something, that seeminly came from the outside, how we deal with it in ways, that further our psychological development or wellbeing.

But I just thought I wanted to say this in other words this time. I certainly didn`t intend to upset anyone. (But yeah, a lot of bad astrology around - not in this thread- and sometimes I am getting fed up reading so many halftruths, superficial blubbering being sold as in - depth - astrology. I usually don`t say anything to this, cause most of the time it isn`t really worth it. But maybe some of that has been blubbering to the surface, and found an expression in a not so appropriate frame, tone or on a thread, that doesn`t really deserve that reaction. If that is the case, I am sorry. Though having said that, maybe I am unfair and I am wrong here, but from reading the original post, I had the feeling something was off with the original poster, from the name to the way this opening of a thread seemed to serve to lure others into an argument, almost like a set up of a troll - and yes I seeingly walked right into it  . How do you know Jess ? from Vedic chart?  , you’re a dangerous person . One of the reasons I was interested in astrology was to know more about people around me especially their weaknesses but I was very manipulative back then.I’m doing fine  , hope you had a great time 2407.
