Just curious.

For quite a while I have been having problems sleeping and it made me think.

What could possibly indicate someone is a light sleeper?

And can certain transits disrupt normal sleep patterns?

I think of the weirdest things, I know.

A packed third house maybe? (lots of thinking which can prevent sleeping)

Bad aspected neptune also?

Just throwing out guesses here

Guesses are good.

Why a poorly aspected neptune?

I'm a little unfamiliar with neptune in general.

I would believe maybe neptune rules pisces and pisces is dreamy so maybe that's to do with sleep?

my guess

Uranian people have unusual sleeping patterns, I've read several times.

12th house activity + the masculine planets & the outer planets.

Like if you have tMars in your 12th making an aspect to your Mercury for example (too much thinking, restless sleep).

I started looking into some of those aspects and transits listed to learn more about it.

I came across something about neptune that I thought was interesting:

Under the planetary profile, in all the examined cases, no matter what problem they show, the predominance of Neptune is evident in every chart. Neptune symbolizes phobias, psychic disturbs, defects and its strong presence in this kind of problems seems to be appropriate.

The Uranian one makes sense.

And personally I have 12th mars and jupiter... not hitting mercury tho. Really interesting to see that one.

When the slow planets are transiting my 12th house, my sleep suffers.

I remember when Uranus entered my 12th house, I developped severe insomnia. Of course, it also coincided with the sudden (Uranian) loss of a major relationship.
