Does anyone here have pluto in the 8th? Can you describe how the energies of this placement play out in your life?

Here is a description I found online:

"Pluto in 8th House

You have a natural attraction to all that is hidden, taboo, or "dark". This fascination can lead you to experience more unusual events than others. A natural psychologist, you are expert at cutting through appearances and getting to the heart of matters. You are endlessly interested in motivations and sources. You may be especially interested in hypnosis, healing therapies, occult sciences, as well as great mysteries and the darker side of life. Sexual relationships are very intense and perhaps complicated. You are both fascinated with and fearful of deep intimacy, and crave unusually deep, passionate, and intense experiences with others. This fascination can bring you intense experiences with others, and attraction to nontraditional sexual experiences, particularly those that involve domination and submission, control, and possession. If you are attracting controlling people into your experience and are uncomfortable with it, strive to examine and understand your own deep-seated fears regarding power and sharing issues. Some of you might engage in power struggles with money, particularly with a partner. Themes of control are quite possible with Pluto in the eighth house. You would likely be quite talented in the healing professions, especially helping others deal with crises and trauma."

I have pluto in scorpio in the eighth house, and I am often used as the convenient scapegoat. By total strangers, by family members, anyone, anywhere. ): If something goes wrong, or is stolen, everyone points their finger at me. "He did it." Ugh...

^^^ This may not be due to pluto being in 8th house. Pluto in 8th house is a POWERFUL position. You may have Saturn or Pluto opposite or square your sun or other personal planet. You may have planets in the 12th house. I wouldn't blame your travails on Pluto in 8th.

I have it. Much of that interp is true, but not all of it, for me personally.

I've always been very much interested in the afterlife and reading about it, had experiences with connecting to people there and am rather psychic and highly intuitive.

I was certified by the National Guild of Hypnotists many years ago, when that fascinated me for awhile. Got certified in Reiki level One and Two (i also have a strong Chiron).

I'd not say I am attracted to "darker sides of life" at all. I've steered clear of witchcraft, devil worship and the like, I am turned off by vampire/horror movies am not into crazy sexual things, but am passionate, I will say that. And from what I'm told a GREAT lay. LOL

I'd say the Light and Beauty atracts me more than anything "dark" or dangerous, which tbh repulses me. (Taurus Sun)

Relationships have been intense. I am also usually the scapegoat in some way and try to take the high road.

Let's see....

"both fascinated and fearful of deep intimacy" ....... I'd not say "fearful", but I do avoid it sometimes - or at some points in my life. ....Maybe lack of interest in it would be a better word...or desire. Sometimes for long periods, it goes away completely.

I do strive to examine myself deeply and always have. I am my own worst critic. I'm not interested in "power" in any way and never get jealous. I know some people will find that hard to believe, because it's such a natural and common human emotion, but I really don't and it's always been something foreign and fascinating to me when I witness it's hold on others. I might have gotten a good handle on that in a past life or something. I don't know.

I've been told I'm a powerful healer and am very good at helping people in crisis or trauma, but not so much myself. Which is what I am trying to focus on more now, because I need to.

Seems I fit that typical 'wounded healer' critiera and can't do it anymore. Yet at the same time, I don't want anyone trying to heal me, nor do I reach out to others for healing. It does not feel right or comfortable for me. I'd rather plumb my own depths, and put my own band-aids on myself.

k. that's all for now. hope it helped.

*Edited to add above. More that comes to mind, but I think that's a good summary.

For many years I wanted to live a monastic lifestyle and did briefly. I decided it wasnt for me at the time, but still live my own hermit type lifestyle now.
