i learned to read pretty early as well. i dont remember the age, i just know that i was always in accelerated reading/writing classes. in elementary school, i was a grade above the standard level. example would be when i was in 3rd grade, i was put into an accelerated 4th grade reading class. i dont know what happened to all of those good grades! lol my mercury is in aries in the 6th house. opposition mercury-ascendant. conjuction mercury-venus. ------------------ Sun Aries Moon Pisces Mars Pisces Venus Pisces Mercury Aries Jupiter in Virgo Saturn in Aquarius Pluto in Scorpio Neptune and Uranus in Capricorn Ascendant Libra IP: Logged |

Hey, this is interesting. Just looked up my son's natal - he was reading simple books by age 2 and 10 months. By 3 and half, he could name the flags of about 20 countries, so very good memory for naming and patterns - hence reading. He has Mercury square Jupiter exact, but I wonder why that should indicate early reading. His Mercury is also conjunct SN exact and trines MC - this was also mentioned earlier. I wonder if there are any asteroids that one should be looking at. IP: Logged |

I learned to read when I was 3/4 and could write pretty well by 5, of course I had the usual mispelling words. I actual wrote in 2 languages since. Moves here to the US from DR at age 5. I was in bilingual classes for 2 years and then they places me in all English class afterwards. Edit: I have Mercury in Capricorn in the 9th house. It's biquintile my moon in Gemini by 4 degrees. It sextiles my Saturn and Venus in Pisces. IP: Logged |

College textbooks at 4!!! It would be interesting to see your chart. I'm in education and interested in these things. Did you ever get an IQ test done? IP: Logged |

My little sister could read when she was 3 and said her first word at 2 months (seriously). She has Sun conjunct Mercury in Leo (third house) Libra moon, Venus in Virgo, Mars in Taurus. She turns 8 today and has a reading level equivalent to a 11 year old. Too bad I wasn't blessed with such genes! IP: Logged |

I'm very proud of my weeRam's literacy level and reading comprehension skills. He reads at a much advanced level all despite being diagnosed with a speech delay at 2 and falling into the autistic spectrum. He began to read before the delay, and ultimately reading is what caught him up to and allowed him to surpass his peers during Senior Kindergarten last year. He has Mercury ruling the 3rd (Gemini's natural domain) in its debilitated/fallen station of 9th (Sag's natural domain) house Pisces. His Mercury is tightly cnj Uranus on the North Node in the 9th, Uranus rules both his 7th and 8th houses. It is sextile Venus-Athene-Wisdom in 10th house Taurus, ruler of his 4th house (and Libran Moon in 3rd, square domicile Jupiter in his Scorpion ruled 5th, quincunx his 1st house Saturn, (Capricorn intercepted in the 6th). Mercury-Uranus-NN trine Discovery opp Athene-Wisdom-Venus; Hermes cnj Aquarius Mars-Neptune. For all the struggles there is hope, for all the hope there is growth. It's not just about reading though... it's about comprehension, and retaining that information. I have never met a 6 year old who can reprogram a computer before, let alone, reprogram/reformat the computer entirely on their own. He does this. And, it baffles all of us. Autistic children, are so damn brilliant! Nearly every one I meet has some special talent that comes out of seemingly nowhere!~ just a matter of opening that potential and discovering what is hidden in their precious minds!~!~! Yeah I will gloat about my wee one. He's a damn good kid. Me, I was always a reader... but, I'm no where near as special as the kids out there who overcome real challenges in order to do the same. They're the marvelous ones! They're the interesting ones! Not lil' Neuneu the spoiled library-rat with bottle-cap glasses and no human friends. ^^; love my WeeRam <3 IP: Logged |
