House overlays in synastry work in the same way as planets in houses in a natal chart. When one of my planets is in another persons house where is the natural ruler, exalted, in detriment or fall does that affect the way the house person is going to feel. When my moon is in somebody's 10th house (detriment=difficulty operating positively) or 8th house (fall=debilitated) do they feel it in a negative way in the 10th or debilitated in the 8th. What my Venus (in aries=detriment) was in 7th house(dignity) in synastry. Would they still feel it working in a positive way. Or if somebody had capricorn saturn (dignity) in 4th house (detriment)in synastry. Their Saturn is in the natural ruler but in synastry is in the house where it has difficulty operating positively.

I feel head over heels about someone whose Moon is in my 8th house! I don't personally think it works that way. Look - you would then feel bad about people whose Suns are in your 7th house, because Sun is in fall in Libra...

I know, but it doesn't make sense because we all have houses and they represent a part of our life. It doesn't change. Why would Sun in my 7th house be any different than my sun in 7th house in synastry. It's the same energy (ours of someone else's) working in the same house.
